Community and ranked games; rank rework?

Hey everyone, I want to talk about the community and also the ranked system about how the two mashup. First things first, the community can be a lot of fun to play with, but also extremely painful and disheartening. When I play a ranked game, which is what I primarily play I will get those toxic individuals who rage/harass etc. and even make threats including one about my family. Furthermore the one individual, not from America (speaking some other language in NA servers - multiple languages) threatened me stating he or she was going to kill my family. This is seriously unacceptable and this player needs to be accountable for it, I reported them, but still nothing has happened, why? Especially with a threat like that? Trolls are just another story.. just like the trolls that are going to be commenting on this thread.

My second reason for posting this thread is about the ranked system and why players get toxic to begin with is because of how the ranked system is established. You get 5 players, enemy team gets 5 players, out of the 10 players usually you WILL find at least 1 troll in it, if not a toxic individual who bashes other teammates for their mistakes or some little mistake you made. My second point clashes with my first point because of the fact of players who lose aren't happy.. that's why the ranked system needs to be reworked. If you think otherwise then clearly we will always have a community like the one we have.

Instead we could have a much more friendly environment and community if the ranked system got worked out differently, I don't have any ideas I just would like Riot and the community to take this is in consideration.

listen, everybody is going to encounter these types of people eventually, whether you'd like it or not. they are part of this game. now, if I were you, I would mute everybody (and I mean everybody) in the game, including your team, if not you can just simply ignore these inappropriate remarks. These are people you will most likely never ever come across again in your entire life. Don't get hurt if some random person on the internet who you'll likely never meet again wishes that you "die from cancer" or that they "fucked your mom", etc. I agree with the fact that these people don't get punished enough, and sometimes people even get punished for not doing anything (had a smurf that got perma'd out of nowhere maybe) while these trolls ramble on in their games. We are all on the same boat as you. This is part of the game, and it's what makes this game special (not necessarily in a good way). I too hope that something along the lines of your idea will be emplaced in the near future.

When the lvl 7 Zed, question mark pings you and your second death after you go 6/1 as Lucian. Then you notice the enemy Zed is fed and the Zed is worse than you.

I feel the same way, ranked is bad and I've heard it only gets worse in plat/diamond.

So... people are assholes and abuse the system, you say we need to change the system, and then you provide no ideas on how to? Just rito plz make it better? K.
