Banned for 2 weeks for "Exessive Aggro" in chat?

So, i was playing a game earlier, and a player was being toxic and trolling with tahm kench, by eating me because i told him that someone called toplane before him (I was adc btw) i was trying to break up a fight, so, as the game progressed, i kept telling the other team to report him, and he was calling me and i quote: "A fa-gg-ot bitch slut", "Useless piece of shit", "Lowlife scum slut". So, i told the other team to report him and said that he was being "Butthurt" and yea, i said "f-g-t" a couple of times. because he called toplane after someone else. So, if trying to break up a fight and then saying one word a couple times gets a 12 day ban, but all that other stuff doesnt get any punishment..... then i guess league isnt the game for me. I thought riot was a little better than others when it came to stuff like this but i see i was wrong. The worst part is, i cant even look at the game replay to find him name. So, i suppose, ill just be done with league unless something is done to make this right.

Instances of hate speech will escalate your punishment to a 14 day ban, even if you have no prior offences. Those and calls to self harm are not tolerated in any way, shape, or form, including quoting others. You don't need everyone to report someone, all it takes is one report to trigger the review.

can confirm this, posted "kys" to some guy who posted his intentional feeding on boards, got banned from here for like 2 weeks.

not what it means to me/ its 3 letters and can mean lots of things could be a mistype you dont know know i dont know. if riot wanted peopel to stop using those 3 letters then they should specficially say so.

Also I would think getting an instant 14 day ban would show pretty well that they don't want it in the game

Riot reserves the right to ban your account for any reason.

Now they don't do it for just any reason, only when you break the rules. In this instance, this particular one: Section 5, Subsection 1, Article v of Riot Games Terms of Use:

v. Transmitting or communicating any content which, in the sole and exclusive discretion of Riot Games, is deemed offensive, including language that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, or racially, ethically, or otherwise objectionable;

that does not say anything specifically its going on assumptions there champ. and yet riot banned my main accoutn for me havign severe ptsd and have what they call frontal injury due to hitting ieds hmmmmmmm.

It's said that in the TOS, and the forums, in other sources, and in all the ban messages of people who used them. And go ahead and sue Rito for "wrongfully banned" only one problem. You do NOT own your account. Rito does, and they just let you play on it. Also stated in the TOS is that they can ban you at any time for any reason.

Because OP is in full control of his behavior, and broke the rules.

This isn't a "he started it" kind of thing. Two wrongs don't make a right, if you break the rules, you also have to face the consequences

If two kids are are caught fighting at school and one points at the other says "But he started it", is it common policy to let him off the hook?

No, and that's much the case here. Besides this is an online game. You can't even "throw punches" at each other. What you CAN do is lose control and break the rules and rage and flame though and that's what happened here.

I didnt spam the other team btw, i only said report him 2 times, so did everyone else on my team, if i could review my game (which i cant cuz im banned) i would show everyone exactly how it went down. Also, if what i said was hate speech, what does that make what he said?

That's 2 times too many. Asking for reports on a player is itself negative behavior. Just make the report yourself and if other people think he needs to be reported then they can do that on their own. 1 report is the same as 9 reports with the new system.

If he said what you claim he did, then yes, he also used hate speech. It also does NOT give you a free pass to use that speech yourself and berate him. Because if you do then at best he wins, because griefers and trolls WANT you to rage at them. That's the fun for them. That you get so mad, you lose your cool and can't focus on anything else but screaming at them while they laugh their asses off. And at worst, you get banned yourself.

If he was using the speech you claim he said then just report him yourself and the system will check the logs and then issue punishment.

When it comes to YOUR case though, it doesn't matter what he said. Him being an asshole does NOT give you a free pass to do the same. Flaming, even in "self defense" or retaliation is still flaming and breaking the rules. It's like 2 kids fighting at school and the teachers catch them. One kid pointing to the other and saying "he started it" isn't going to get him out of trouble.
