DrCyanide7 votesI would (and have) act my age, shrug it off, and pick my backup champion. I've accidently banned my Champion before. It really makes no difference if it was you, your allies, or your enemies that banned your Champion, the result is you moving on and picking your backup.

But if you've watched his stream/videos you see he WAS trolling by his teammates a lot by them banning Shaco. It doesn't just happen every once in a blue moon for him, it happens on a constant basis.

Streamer gets trolled -> streamer reacts -> people see the reaction and get a chuckle out of it -> those people troll him to get more of the same reaction
It's a cycle of his own creation, same as Dunkey had going. They chose to make their channel feature them blowing up over these things, and that's what happens to them as a result. It's the natural byproduct of their popularity and how they handle things.
This is why I contrasted it to Voyboy, who is another popular streamer but doesn't rise to the bait, ending the cycle before it starts.

It's a cycle, you can't blame the people banning Shaco without first blaming Shaclone. By his own admission he said he could have just gone Wukong, but he wanted to "teach them a lesson", but by getting himself banned he rewarded the trolls, giving them exactly what they wanted instead of starving and discouraging them.
If it had been some other Shaco one-trick his teammates would have ignored him. This was people looking for either their 20 seconds of fame or looking to push his buttons. They got what they wanted because of his videos.

If they ever wanted to just sit down and have a fun stream of them playing a game, their fans would troll the hell out of them regardless. They've attracted a certain audience and rewarded a certain behavior, to the point where they really couldn't break away even if they wanted too.
Imagine what the average fan mentality of those guys must be like: "I don't care what game he's playing, I just want to find out what new things we can do to ruin his experience in that game!".
Personally, that's not the kind of people I'd want to surround myself with. Those tend to be the kind of people that lead to SWAT teams breaking down your door and the destruction of your personal and professional life if they ever get a hold of your address or where you work.

Darf Rakki13 votesThis is how I feel about Tyler1. Honestly I think he's a more entertaining streamer since his ban from League and I hope it never gets lifted. Not only did he ruin hundreds (22 permabanned accounts!) of games for other people, but he "inspired" thousands of his viewers to ruin tens of thousands of games for others in a domino affect. His well deserved ban made him a better streamer, and he would devolve back into a raging troll if it was lifted. He's also blamed Riot for his ban multiple times on stream instead of taking responsibility himself.
Streamers should be held to a higher standard than most of us. Thousands of people will watch them live, and mostly younger kids, but sadly even some adults, will see them as role models. They have to set an example and if the example is negative, they should be removed immediately.

And Tyler1 is a seriously disturbed person (my opinion). I've dealt with hundreds of people like him in League, and that's putting it mildly. I'm all for people streaming, especially if its for a living, but you have to hold yourself to a certain standard if you do.

Many high-tier players occasionally do series (i.e. A-Z) or play champions requested by their viewers even if it isn't the proper choice. They are rather used to odd occurrences during their games.
Like I said, I'm curious as to how many of the players in the games Meteos played while drunk actually reported him for it. If people weren't reporting him, I don't see any reason why he would be punished for it.

Different groups have different customs and ideas of permitted behaviour. What is perfectly allowable in one groups/culture/region may not be in others and vice-versa.

Should both of those get you some jail time? No, because one is clearly in jest among friends. If the other 9 people in the game don't see fit to report there is no reason to take action.

King LeBong2 votesMeteos got away with it because Riot and everyone on his team and against him understood that it was an edge case, Meteos may "troll" in a sense sometimes but he's not an inter, I promise you at most 1 person reported him out of those games. High elo players really don't care to report most of the time, they play with the same people over and over again.
You don't get banned or punished at all really for one time problems, at most you'll get an e-mail warning that such a thing can cause you to be permabanned.

They rightfully deserve bans and no one should say otherwise because if you ran into a player like that in your game you would want him to be banned too.
