I feel like Riot needs to tune its algorithm to be more aggressive with its Banning

So I just queued up with a friend.

As I lock in Malzahar (mid), jungle asks "Can I mid?" literally after I locked in.

I offer them to swap for Malzahar. They say "go malzahar jungle."

I express my discomfort with it since I haven't done it before.

Champ select proceeds, and they lock in Janna.

Janna jungle.

Things this person did:

  1. Janna jungle (pick that tilts their team immediately)
  2. Came to a lane and just took minions without pushing tower. Just took minions until they pushed to tower and left.
  3. Fed more deaths than the rest of her team COMBINED.
  4. Stuff like this! Quote: "Use your ult, you stupid c**t."

Post game, obvious, reports abound. Most of my team was really civil in game and didn't flame them in game.

Why is this person not banned yet?

I think this is fair evidence that your banning algorithm is not strict enough.

I'd rather have false positives than false negatives.

False positives causes 1 person unhappiness.

NOT banning someone who very clearly SHOULD be banned causes not only the other 4 people on their team mental agony, but also ruins the game for any future people they may encounter.

This sort of behavior does NOT warrant a warning. Does NOT warrant a slap on the wrist. It warrants a ban. Straight out.

Calling you out on this one Rito.

Wanna know why they don't ban people at the first offense? Because we all have bad days. If that person continues being toxic after his first offense, then yea he will get punished. Riot would rather appeal to the best of people over killing them off.

Also, you may want false positives, but Riot? They would rather kill off the system than increase false positive rate. Simply put, it's a pain for player support to go through, it leaves the consumer confused, and the report system might have a lot more people baiting toxicity showing up.

I think what Riot needs to do is upgrade the transparency. Too many times, it still "appears" that Bad Guy gets no punishment. He may later but if your report wasn't the trigger then you have no idea.

So a lot of people are very cynical about the whole report and auto-punish system.

I honestly think Riot is doing a pretty good job.

3 days ago now I got two week suspension for "Intentionally feeding a few bag games really wasn't intentional but my last game looked the worst of all because a (Toxic Player went top lane & stole my role leaving the game unplayable.) (Well tried to play it off meta jungle and died 14 times rather than go afk only a 1% Chance for it to work anyways.)

1.) Riot has seemed to address toxicity in Chat, lots of users get banned and its deserved most of the time (Riot actually helped me improve some of my behavior in chat wasting time arguing with (IDIOTS) who never learn now I just (/mute all) play the fucking game and not care)

2.) What needs to be addressed now and its a major issue because I have seen it happen more than myself is (Role Stealing) Riot has done a great job adding role selection to the game, it really has helped decrease toxicity a lot compared to what it was last year over roles, but now some players see someone go LuLu, or Sona mid (They immediately say (NO GO SUPPORT) I say (NO I don't play Dual Lane for a reason of FEEDING) and they proceed to go in game and be toxic taking the role (What happened to me last game before getting 2 weeks ban same thing happens like 99% of the time when im not duo bot with people who know what to do perhaps its a bit better but usually gets feed.

Anyways that said there needs to be a (Strict Stance) About taking roles when everyone can now choose their two roles they want to play and get either ( Everyone knows over the years I usually do better in Solo roles, there are 3 roles I can do, and it (DOESNT MATTER) what ( I CHOOSE ) (To take Where) (IF) I am an (intentional Feeder / TROLL) then let me troll and get banned for trolling constantly, this doesn't give other users the right to come in lane and be toxcic making me get banned for doing bad because they took the role and rendered the game useless for 3 other players who possibly wanted to win the game or even try.

So in other words me doing bad because of being trolled, shouldn't be punishable, but me playing off meta top wasn't a ban worthy offense, and the player should not have done what they did trolling just because they didn't agree with it, honestly if my team had stuck with the original layout of champions they told me they were going it would have been better and made more sense.

3.) The third thing (Going Janna Jungle) Isn't ban worthy (Riot Said Its not) Obviously its not going to work well but Riot Said they don't enforce a meta, if that player (Intentionally Feeds) as the jungler then yes, but obviously this can't be fixed.)

IMO, its useless just like there are many other jungles who IMO are useless, but it depends first what your (Team Comp IS) Going (Master YI) isn't always good when you need specific types of (All in play) for example, and the enemy has taken (TEEMO), although there is a counter many don't use vs a teemo get item 3140 on Master YI use it and just eat him alive.

4.) The Automatic Feeder ban does need re-working been banned twice for it with many factors not taken into place the first time I understand last year, but this time its obviously way off so false positives is already a thing, the thing Riot needs to do is address the causes of feeding, and better match-making with players who play similiar alike one another to prevent toxicity aka the useless Jungler, which junglers have a huge impact on a game early game and can actually carry the game by getting their allies ahead or behind.

. In other words automatic bans for feeding actually works but it doesn't take into account that the person was in my lane making me unable to do a lane phase so I had to try to counter jungle the enemy on a off meta support so I feed.

. Doesn't take into account when a player is constantly ganked by another player in their lane and your teams jungle does nothing (Sure play better I understand play more (D), and when in the LCS, or Higher ELO/ PRO its easier but in lower ELO its harder when you got players who have no idea what they are doing sometimes you just end up feeding hard (My Azir Game for example) because Riot thinks it was intentional feed for sure I just got really fucked over mid thinking his kit had changed but it was really garbage IMO and I flat out sucked, but doesn't mean I intentionally fed the Nidalee.

What Riot should do TO-DO list?

1.) add the ability for users in the lobby to change roles with one another to make it official with a confirmation box on each players screen.

2.) What and why Riot can't enforce meta of champions, lets say you don't want Janna Jungle anymore that can be done by fixing it so players playing (X) role can't select Janna as a mid lane only as a support, and that solves the Solo Queue toxicity.

3.) Possibly add a system like DOTA 2 has where if a player abandons 5 minutes players can leave?

4.) Add system to disband within 2-3 minutes of game starting if players don't connect or are toxic vote disband, Could solve some problems.

The problem is that pre-mades, and or players can still choose roles, and switch with other players so in reality it solves nothing.

Honestly giving everyone a free dodge every day (or a free dodge when they're in promos) would really help.

tell that to the people who get punished for it

This person could have been a hacked or bought account. I had this happen to my friend's account. He didn't play league for over a year, felt like getting on again and his password isn't working so he changes his password, trys to log on, and he finds out that he is perma banned. RIP

I said maybe. This could've happened with that janna but idk. Maybe. Other than that maybe they felt like trolling and getting banned because they decided they hate league and are done with it. Some people need to be perma banned or they wont quit playing the game even though they hate it so they get themselves banned on purpose xD

the other problem. is riot's sytem is designed to deal with flamers and chat related offenses, not in game trolling

notice how there are 3 different options for reporting chat, but only 1 for trolls "intentional feeding" and i truly believe that if you report a troll for unsportsmanlike conduct, but they dont type. its treated as a false report. and lowers your report weight for each troll that knows how to dodge the system

I agree with some of this stuff but one thing pokes my eye.

  1. Janna jungle (pick that tilts their team immediately)

Playing out of meta is not punishable. https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752884-Reporting-a-Player

5) DO NOT REPORT A SUMMONER FOR NOT STICKING TO THE METAGAME

if it happened in ranked then either dodge or grind through
