Can you get banned for dodging a game?

So I kind of dodged a game where I had a troll on my team (threatened to feed and go afk in the enemy base) and I got really worried. So when I dodged, I got a twenty minute queue timer thingy and I was afraid that I might get banned for dodging a queue too excessively.

I don't think you can get banned from dodging, but they put the timer to encourage you not to dodge. Otherwise, you'd have people dodging every time something they didn't like got picked, or they didn't get the role they wanted, and games would never happen

A friend of mine would dodge all the time. He never gotten banned, but when he Q's he has a 45 or so min penalty before he can play a game.

Meaning he must sit through 45mins even if he logs off for 45 mins and comes back, it will still be 45 mins all the time until he can prove he doesn't leave.

Hahaha no, if that were the case a majority of the player base would be banned. Though you do get increased match timers... which is really annoying...

No, you cannot get banned for this, the only consequence is the queue timer and a loss of LP if it was in a ranked queue(does not apply to 5's or 3's)

A lot of players recommend dodging games as a way to climb, instead of playing through that game with the disco nunu just dodge, take the 3-10 LP penalty over the -20 for a loss and save yourself some time.
