Riot's BC-era client does that BS where it doesn't load you into the game, but doesn't tell you that it's crashed, and you just sit in loading screen for 3 minutes, then refuses to reload when you exit/relog, and by the time the game actually does what every other game on the planet can do (run), you find out you've lost every point of LP you have due to a remake being called in your honour, and now you get a nice "low priority queue" ban to teach you to...wait. What lesson do I learn from their "punishment"? Oh yeah! The lesson that riot continues to have 0 dependency. Best company NA gg2stronk

But it's ok because Riot can't fix anything right now because they are too busy picking out what flavour cupcakes they want at their next esports, because esports > every other part of league. Woo!

If your ping ever moves around then that's an old trick to know if the loading screen crashed. If it moves then it's not crashed. This was easier when we saw other pings. >_<

I think lots of people would be happy with some kind of spinning hourglass or something in the corner of the loading screen. I know I would. Something that indicates it's still working during those long times when nobody loads and you're worried it crashed and the game started without you. I don't know if it's possible.

If you have some way to spike up your ping, that could be a way to check? But it's a pain and I wouldn't remember to do it every loading screen.
