I see so many posts admitting that they do this....

Against the rules for a reason, Can Riot actually catch someone from the boards?

Pretty sure some dude that was sharing accounts on here a while back got banned. He had admitted to owning both accounts on the boards and had matches in his history playing with both accounts in the same ranked games.

Yes, account sharing is bannable since it is violating the ToS, however, Riot usually doesn't automatically ban accounts when someone posts on the board that they did. I've only seen accounts banned from sharing because they usually used third party programs, boosted/boosting, buying/selling accounts, or because of security issues.

Smaller infractions like letting your brother play your account don't automatically get your account banned, and usually they let it slide as long as none of the issues I mentioned happened.

But, I will repeat again: It can still get you permanently banned, so it's better to be safe than sorry.
