Change RIOT's Ban Behavior
I would urge you to please read this, if only to understand the points that I am trying to make. If you disagree with me, then we can discuss why. If you have never heard these facts, or are afraid that these might be true, then please upvote this and comment so we can get real attention and real answers from RIOT employees, and perhaps make a difference and stop these affronts by RIOT and its employees.

I think that it is long past due time that RIOT admit that the Tribunal is not "in recess" as they claim, but is completely disbanded. It's been "in recess" for 3 years, that's not recess, that's retirement. Also, I think that RIOT needs to come out and admit the flaws (and in my opinion, failure) of their current system that "temporarily" replaces the Tribunal while it is "in recess" (again, "temporary" replacement in this case meaning 3+ years). Also, how many of you know exactly how RIOT's system works? The answer, it counts the number of reports that you get, and if you get reported more times than they deem average over a set number of games, then the system automatically marks your account for punishment. It then has an automated system that checks your chat for key words that indicate verbal abuse, negativity, play calling, placing blame, etc... If it finds ANY of those in your chat, then it gives you a more severe instant punishment. However, if it doesn't fine those words, you will still receive an instant punishment solely based on people reporting you, even if those reports are not warranted.

I also think that it needs to be pointed out that RIOT has created a policy and a system that rewards toxic players that intentionally throw and morally demean other summoners, while punishing the other summoners that point it out in-game. I have tested this, going through numerous games with people who are verbally abusive, intentional trolls, intentional feeders, hackers, etc... almost every time I have received restrictions and punishments for 3 things: saying that those people are hacking/trolling/verbally abusive, saying that I will mute those verbally abusive people, and asking the enemy team to please report those verbally abusive/trolling/hacking people. On the other hand, after those games were over and I reported those players, I monitored the worst offender's profiles and saw that, over the course of 3 weeks, there was absolutely no impact on their playing, signifying that RIOT neither banned nor temporarily suspended any of these players, even though the Summoner's Code directly cites that this is the punishment for such behavior. So, it would seem that the RIOT employees falsely accuse me for breaking the Summoner's Code due to me pointing out violations of the Summoner's Code, yet intentionally do not punish those who actually violate the Code with extreme verbal abuse, intentionally feeding, intentionally trolling, hacking, and other such offenses.

The RIOT support ticket group needs to be massively rehauled. It is sad to think that those people are getting paid to send us copy/pasted messages in response to out serious concerns and questions. I have tested this theory multiple times, and found that even if my first message says that I specifically want to be redirected to a real person that will give me something other than a copy/pasted message, they will send me through the roundabout at least 3 times before actually sending me to a real person who will actually respond to my questions.
-
However, once someone reaches this point, they are often faced with RIOT employees that respond in a careless, emotionless, and outright rude manner. This is especially so if a summoner asks for them to explain why that summoner was punished in the "instant feedback system", because that summoner feels that the restriction was unwarranted (refer back to my first point). Once the summoner voices their concerns, even in a calm and trying-to-understand way, the RIOT employee will respond with negativity, belittlement, insults, and derogatory language that is above and beyond anything that I have or would ever use in-game.
-
So, my final idea: wouldn't it be interesting for me to test using RIOT's own support-ticket language to respond to people in-game, and see what kind of response that gets? I have no doubt that I could pick many things that they have said to me, and I would immediately be reported and restricted based on THEIR negativity and verbal abuse. Ironic, isn't it, then the system that we are all trying to support and build up is more negative and out of control than the people that they deem to restrict.
Again, I urge you to bring this to the attention of the higher powers that be of RIOT. This needs to stop, and I for one refuse to be accused of violating the Summoner's Code, when all that I am guilty of is uplifting it.
Thank you,
Eternal Colossus
