Is it worth reporting for Internet problems?

I had a Jax in my last game who was constantly disconnecting and reconnecting for the whole 20 minutes before we were finally allowed to surrender. I don't think he was ever connected for more than a minute at a time. During one of his longer appearances in our game he said his lag was so bad he couldn't move. But based on his match history, this was a rare occurrence. Of course I reported him, but what will come of it? Is the loss of my precious 21 lp just "working as intended"?

Sometimes players have connection trouble. Sometimes they have emergencies. Sometimes their power goes out. Sometimes their cat catches fire.

If Riot put in compensation systems for lag or disconnects, people would find ways to abuse them. And yeah, it really sucks. But there isn't really a better solution.

As for what will come of it? Likely nothing, which I know is frustrating to hear. But there's no requirement that you have to manage to maintain a lag-free connection for the entire game.

No. As I have been told, the report option is redundant for the detection system that is already going to detect that and deal with it appropriately.

Nope, you cant report for it as it is not really the person's fault. If they continue to disconnect they may get bopped by leavebuster automatically.

Unfortunately, you can't get a player banned or suspended due to internet issues. You can however, report their afking/internet issues, and Leaverbuster will deal with it in it's own way. Everyone has bad internet. I've been mid-game before my router shut down for the next 3 hours before, or when I play, and mid-game a storm that was suppose to be super mild goes crazy and my ping shoots up. Life happens. Please try to be considerate to your fellow summoners, as if that happened to you, you would want some understanding as well. [slayer-jinx-catface]
