Just because i picked off meta doesn't mean you gotta ruin our game

So i just played a NORMAL GAME, in advance i declared ahri as adc, my support picked vlad.

I generally don't care what my support plays as long as it's not nidalee support. In game he tells me He's gonna farm like there's no tomorrow. I asked him to stop, nothing more nothing less. He told me this wouldn't have happened if i had picked an adc. So i explained i had 550 range which is more than some ADC, and some guy made it to D2 with it. So in lane he just kept farming with his abilities, at first i tried to keep up but it became tiresome and i tried to roam, get objectives and farm wherever i could.

I ended the game 0/0/1 with +/- 75 farm, he had +/-150. The only reason we won was because 4 ppl went afk in the enemy team because the other lanes were stomping.

Can we not do that? I don't get it, why would you do this. Clearly i'm playing offmeta and you think it puts me behind so far already, so why make it worse? It's a normal game, i ain't ruining your rank.

People need to realize this is a game. I'm playing for fun.

AD is fun to me, onhit mid/top is fun to me, AP tank is fun to me, jungle is fun to me. I played ad thresh/ aptank Blitz to level 5 so i atleast have an idea of what i'm doing. I got leona to level 6 by playing her jungle only and atleast 1 lvl 7 token too. I have never won a game as support bard, I made an enemy toplaner ragequit in flex with onhit and win most of my games with it. I know these things can work and i like playing them, so in your normals just fucking chill already.

if you do decide that's enough reason to just ruin someone else's fun, you're just sad tbh.

My thoughts: He should be able to steal your farm because it's only meta to allow you to farm as adc. Technically since you went ahri adc, you broke the meta, and him stealing farm is not a punishable offense because he's playing off meta support. Is it a good idea to do? No, I would have maybe picked something fun like lux or vel and shot up the enemy with lazzzzers all day and let you farm anyway. But you really can't hold it totally against him. He may think you picking Ahri was a waste of his time and he may not enjoy supporting an Ahri adc.

I feel your pain dude, people who throw tantrums when you don't do exactly what they want are the worst.

I hate selfish assholes like that Vlad. He literally took your farm out of spite for not doing what he wanted. What a shitbag. I hope that you reported him.

Also you can take solace in the fact that you will probably never have to play with that loser again.

I've done Ahri adc, it's fun, but if you wanna play off meta you have to accept other off meta things. Also Ahri's range is not more than most Adc's, Adc's with the exception of Cait and Trist, ALL have 550, if you want a range advantage in a mage take Annie who has like 600. AP TANK blitz is normal not off meta. and I've done the other 3 as well, though I prefer Bard jungle, it's not as painful to collect chimes that way and you can help every lane. I also play Kat supp, Camille supp, Garen Supp and Adc, and Jungle, all as AD, I play AP MF, I play Ashe support, I play Lux jg, I play Jinx jg and Xayah(SOOOO GOOD) and mundo, I do a lot of off meta shit. Some people wont like it, some people will do their own shit. You opted in, you deal with it. Your teams have to too.

on the point of playing off meta, he could argue that playing double APC at bot is what his fun is... you can't throw your idea of "fun" and expect others to follow, nor does it actually ruin the game, take the challenge and try to farm while he is farming, super hard against vlad i know but on the same note you do have more AoE dmg. all in all it sucks that it happens but at the same time if you enjoy playing off meta, other people might do the same in other forms.

On one end, I can understand the frustration of not being allowed to play as you see fit. The opinion of the average player is usually molded under what is meta. On another end, you did win but you didn't have fun with it.

As someone who often goes off meta and even plays Ahri in the bot lane or support (haven't recently), it sucks that your bot lane ally decided to just gun you down over it and turn you into a situational damage support. Normally everyone wants to carry in their own way; that it's just a normal game and it doesn't matter. If I had your kind of game, I'd just roll with punches.

Sometimes you just have to accept the game as it is. I've done that when I mistakenly locked Garen as support; told my bot laner to roll with it or tilt - we won pretty cleanly. I do that when I bring Smite or Exhaust to top or bot lane (over Flash and Heal respectively). I just don't hold myself accountable for other player's actions as much as I would have when I started metabreaking

I have no idea why the comments seem to think it's okay to just deliberately steal someone's farm in a duo lane because it's equally "off-meta".

Here's the deal:

First of all, Ahri adc is "off-meta" but workable as a substitute for the "meta" because Ahri has a charm, high mobility and her AA range is by no means low at all. How the hell is this comparable to that other player stealing farm so none of the 2 in the lane gets gold, and with the full intention to starve the Ahri?

Even if you go things like double bruisers bot, or whatever suboptimal stuff have you so you start with a disadvantage, you would still have to form hierarchy on who has the more say on farming, or at least you will arrange cushions via double relic shield or something, as there are only 4 income sources in the game as the reality of it all while the last person has to live on generated gold via items and other stuff.

There is a stark contrast between "off-meta" and literally sabotaging your chances of winning and refusing to cooperate while insisting on rolling over your teammate. The difference is the intent.

You're only doing something because you are trying to make it WORK, not to just be a dipshit and ruin shit up; being a dickbag is not what "off-meta" is for. "Hahaha, you no get no farm because I said so" IS NOT "OFF-META".

By these people's logic, intentional feeding is just "off-meta" amiright? NO.
