Why can't I honor a player after the the prompt in the post-game lobby?

I don't have any issue honoring people, but I wanna look at everything in post-game before picking.

You're supposed to honor the players for their attitude in game, not for their stats.

/Edit You are allowed to encourage people who had good stats, by typing in the chat box, if you want.

For the people saying you honor for attitude not carrying...

Wake up, join the real world!

Everyone honors by a system Pre-made>Hard Carrying>Bot lane honor each other>Soft Carrying>Random to get past the screen and still earn a little more honor.

Honoring by attitude would be ideal but nothing is ever ideal.

You have games where no one says shit, games where every one won't stop saying shit, games that refuse to surrender.

I say gl hf eb! at the start of games and sometimes I don't say it, doesn't change whether I am honored.

I say gg at the end or bg if they had a d/c or afk and that I will report the offender regardless of which team it is on, doesn't change whether I am honored.

What matters is STATS.

When I do more damage as support sion than my adc but they got all the kills? Who gets the honor? ADC of course cause their KDA is GREATTTTT while I died getting them that double or triple with my passive. Only for the ADC to honor his pre-made jungler.

As such I think it should be after the stat screen!

because the honors are for in game friendliness rather then carrying your ass?

I had the same question. Did you ever get an answer from Riot? For me it's not because I am looking to only honor someone if they did well, and need to look at stats.

Most of the time I just mindlessly hit the skip button, or accidentally do, or for whatever reason. I get to the chat and I'm like "yeah, that lee played great", but by then I've lost my chance to give honor.

There's no way Riot was actually that dumb to just forget to include the option in the post game chat, so I am assuming they intentionally left it out so that you would not base it off of stats.

The purpose for honor is for you to judge their attitude, not their gameplay stats.

If that's what you go by, I should play brand / zyra support with you every game.

Well I mean the honor system is a WIP, there are likely to be many updates and changes in the future, stay tuned.

I think it should show some sort of stat like overwatch/heroes of the storm. Top damage/healing/damage mitigation/assists/ towers taken, something along those lines. As of now, you pay attention to whoever the game kept calling legendary, but they may dominate early and fall off late, or got that way from last hitting kills when someone else did the brunt of the damage.
