Ineligibility for Ranked Rewards

Riot I would like to discuss a problem with the philosophy of not giving rewards to people suspend 3 months prior to end of the season. I understand your reasoning for it because you do not want people to be all toxic season and just acting good in the last week of the season but I would like to explain why this does not fix this problem and actually adds some problems with this system.

If anyone studies a law or criminal justice course you learn there are 2 things for a justice system to be just. the first thing is that the crime needs to fit the punishment which I agree with you that players who are toxic need to receive a punishment to discourage people from being toxic again. The 2nd thing for a justice system to be just is that everyone who commits the same crime needs to receive the same punishment. if some one getting a much heavier punishment for breaking the same rule as someone else then the system is broken or corrupt but that is what your system is doing. If some one is for whatever reason(bad week or w/e) which causes them to be really toxic in say July and they get a 1 week suspension then once the suspension up they are free to go but if someone does the same thing in say August they get the suspension and lose a permanent reward forever which is a very heavy punishment.

Now I understand the idea behind well the person in July went multiple months without getting in trouble again so they are clearly reformed and good to go but the person Suspend in August is not given this option. It is not like you guys are going back say 3 months after the season to see if all the people suspend in August-November and giving the rewards back to the players that do reform. So you are giving the player who break the rules in Jan-July a chance to reform but not the players in August-November. If this was a minor reward I do not think it would be a big deal but it is a skin that you will never be able to get again.

I would like to offer to solution at the end of preseason make or in middle of spring make a pass over all the players who were disqualified for rewards and for the ones that have reformed give them their rewards back. This would offer players who made a mistake in Aug-Nov a chance to reform like you are giving players who made a mistake in Jan-July. My other solution is instead of taking away season rewards you could disable feature on people accounts that have been suspend until their account is flagged as reform. You could do things such as disabling the ability to use skins/mastery icons/hextech/mastery points for a certain time after the suspension and getting punished again during that time would increase how long they are disabled. By disabling things on their account every time they get suspend would encourage toxic players to reform and encourage them to not break the rules again more than the current system.

In the current system you can be as toxic as you want up to July as long as you are not toxic enough to get perma ban then as soon as your chat restriction/suspension are done you basically have no more punishments coming. Then the people who are punished in August-Novmember have no reason to reform because the even if they Reform they are not getting their account restored so they no reason to be toxic besides not being toxic enough to get perma-ban. Riot I understand wanting to be tough on toxic player but I hope you read this and discuss a system the can punish players who break the rules equal instead of punishing some much harsher simply because when they broken them is in closer proximity to the end of the season than other offenders.

EDIT: since it seems this is unclear. the purpose of my post is not to suggestion people who break rules should get away with a slap on the wrist. the purpose is to suggest/discuss ways we can punish everyone who breaks the rules equally. The issue i am discussing is that people punished in the last 3 months of the season are receiving a significantly harder punishment than people punished in rest of the season.

if you studied law or criminal justice, then surely you know that proper paragraphs would help people read your stuff...

Wrong. You think this makes it so people don't have a reason to reform if they are banned late in the season, but they do. You dodge getting perma banned. That's a reason.

Would like to point out for those people down voting i am not saying don't punish rule breakers/toxic people I am simply asking for them to come up with a more universal punishment that can be applied to anyone who suspend at anytime instead of players who were not smart of to flame people in July instead of August (sarcasm).

with this kind of punishment they get a permanent scar that should remind them of their bad behaviour which is just what they deserve tbh. its pretty hard to get a 14 day ban. you have to either go through 2 stages of punishment or be so incredible racist/toxic that you dont deserve better
