Low priority queue: Views from a habitual leaver

Hello I am Akenero and I am a pivot reliever I have gotten dozens of low priority queues and quite frankly they are annoying however. There is a reason for them, let me explain. The LeaverBuster system is in place so the habitual believers are not required to be banned for the time many people are affected by this including some of your friends most likely. Is it annoying? Yes yes it is, however it is entirely necessary for the overall enjoyment of the game. For example, I was recently hit with a 20 minute q time for leaving a ranked game this is a semi frequent occurrence for me and I wish it were not so. Am i angry? No not at all because I realize the uses of this system and how much it can positively affect games by making these flavors or habitual afk players. I was recently hit with one of these when play while playing a ranked game of Mordekaiser I had to leave due to the fact that my father misunderstood something which I wish I had seemingly ignored and we had a talk about it I worked out a system where I would get off the computer if one side finished my game due to the fact that I did not wish to suffer these penalties which are which would prevent me from playing for extended amount of time over a period of an hour before I could go back to Ashley playing how any weights and and after the talk I got back on the game on the condition that it was my last game of the night but she was we won that game with me carrying a very high part of that without me our team would have lost massively and that is not me speaking as a frog that's not me speaking as a confident player but as a fact I carried our game due to the fact that I was building fuel tank stats and due to the fact we won the game very quickly actually after I got back from the game and in fact everybody was pretty damn happy with what I did and and we're just nobody said a thing about me being OK after I explained or after I started winning. I was afk for more than 10 minutes doing it during that talk with my father which means that leaving the LeaverBuster system will flag you completely no matter what happens even if you are the only person left in your game if you afk for more than 10 minutes without the loss prevented system being turned on you will be hit with punishments. Am i complaining? A little bit. However earlier that same day while playing a game of Yorick I had to afk which I did not return from until the end of the game. This was also in ranked so I was hit with a double penalty for LeaverBuster system. That was an interruption which was much more important then league. I was not worried about being AFK because of that so I took the report from LeaverBuster in stride and went about my day.

I propose though that if you return to a game after being flagged by LeaverBuster, you should be punished less severely than if you were afk until the end, example being one less game that you must complete. Please consider this option, but I understand completely why this happens and I applaud you for this decision.

Tl;dr Low priority is good for removing trolls, but if you rejoin you shouldn't have 5 games to play.
