Loss prevented for afk

I think it is not fair for a team to lose with the disadvantage of having one less player. There are times when games are won 4v5 and 3v5 but its a natural handicap nonetheless. There should be loss prevented or at least an lp loss reduction for people who AFK more than 20 minutes.

One of the main arguments against this is abuse of the system. "Oh I'll just ragequit and take no lp loss", one of the speculations I considered in that which the person that leaves loses lp while the rest of the the team gets reduced lp loss or none lost at all.

Specifically I would most likely target those who afk from the exact beginning of the game to the end. The enemy team if they win or lose transfer lp. However if perhaps the disadvantaged team wins..the afker would still lose lp.

As for trolls in ranked.. There really isn't much you can do if their feeding seems unintentional by a miniscule. The ones that are banned seems to be the most obvious: run into tower constantly and give the opposing laner gold.

Another issue is elo inflation.. However I am certain that this wouldn't be an issue since people would lose LP from afking regardless of win or lose if the player was gone for 25+ min or from the beginning of the game till the end

the playerbase has been advocating for this for years, but riot hasn't care enough to implement it

TL;DR They were working on a loss compesation system but then put it aside to work on the instant feedback system and the new champ select.
