Why the playerbase is toxic, and leaving.

Oh look, it's because the playerbase is rewarded for being this way. Message that this behavior is desired received.

The player who intentionally plays terribly, avoiding conflict (ganks, dragon, pushing turrets, defending turrets)--aka the things that win games--is rewarded with a letter score for his conduct in a game for behavior which reflects KSing and AFKing far more than commendable performance (which, for a billion+ dollar game, has to be intentional).

Have you been winning lots of games? Has your damage dealt to champions been extremely high for all of those games, even as the full tank jungle? Have you said next to nothing for most of those games, even muting and ignoring lots of afk, griefing dipshits?

Too bad. You just pissed off a premade of griefers who spent the last 50 minutes trying to farm up Xanadu in a game they AFKed in. You suggested that AFKing wasn't a winning strategy. You showed up and killed lots of enemy players, dragons, turrets, and inhibitors. Fuck you. Reported.

The defense for this griefing is easy: Just never say much of anything; pretend to be an idiot. Avoid attention. Queue with other socially maladjusted malcontents. Being god awful and literally AFK 90% of games isn't a bannable offense. But if someone says they're bored because you're griefing, CSing and AFKing while you wait for the inevitable loss you're causing, HOLY SHIT REPORT THAT GUY. That's TOXIC. AFKs should be granted a safe space where nobody can suggest they surrender so that the AFKs can go play bots and the non AFKs can go search for a real, competitive game.

This game's community is the cesspool that it is because it's what's encouraged and not penalized by the game's creators and administrators and the game they've created. They're not against "toxic" behavior, they're what's behind it.

Bans in this game are entirely automated. Oh crap, I made a bunch of angry, obnoxious children jealous by outperforming the PISS out of them in an unranked game. Shit, 14 day ban, no review, immediately upon game's end and the premade reporting.

There are a lot of games that don't punish me for making obnoxious children jealous. In fact... literally every other game I've ever played. I'm going to go play those.

Along with a few million other players, this is why I've uninstalled and I'll never be back. And, while we were always the top few % of the game's performers and were never the majority, without us the game has nothing to look toward, and the average player becomes more apparent for the garbage that he/she is.
