HONEST criticism about Honor 1 (Please Riot Hear Me Out )

Okay so about a month ago ? I guess maybe less I got a chat restriction. I got put to honor 1 and have been steadily climbing back to honor 2 ! (yay) I have taken multipule Rioters advice on how or what is or is not considered toxic behavior due to apparently SLOWING my own progression apparently.

Now while asking these rioters I found some really dumb reasons as to what slows your progression at honor 1 or any honor for that matter. I have criticism about this and would like to (HOPEFULLY) create a peaceful discussion about this.

I do however have proof to go with said criticism's and will be blurring out names for obv reasons and would like to hear what people (and Rioters) think about this ? I would like to know why it is soo strict ? it seems a bit TOO strict.

And to clarify since I'm not good at saying things properly over the internet lol. These things im about to speak about are considered ( Negativity ) and not necessarily ( Toxic ) but it does effect progression in ANY honor level saying something soo small will 100% affect your honor progression ....

Issue #1

Saying "GG" or " alerting others that your going to report them "

https://imgur.com/a/2JBoQ

So in this game none of us did well, obviously. But that was not really in our control as our Annie had decided to go on what I call a "Toxic Crusade" letting the team in all chat know she is "F&(*%^NG TROLLING" according to her. She then builds 6 crit items on Annie and after feeding 6 kills to the enemy she decides to 1v1 baron over and over and over. After that the annie then builds 5 daggers and trys to 1v1 the entire team and ints some more.

So I say "GG" " Can you guys please report the annie ? " Apparently this is considered negative and that you shouldn't have to tell your team or the other team "GG" or " can you report annie ? "

So Riot is saying that the enemy and you should already know to report said person and that said person should and would be punished for their extreme toxicity. Well Riot

https://imgur.com/a/CEHzi

You can see how far up the list goes from there. That Annie is still playing even after some EXTREMELY toxic behavior ... So I feel your being a little bit harsh by slowing our progression in honor by saying these 2 comments in situations like this. If the Annie is not even being punished then obviously we as the players in that game did not do our job and report her even AFTER being asked to do so.

I would like to argue that calling these out are not negative at all we are simply trying to get the player punished for what clearly is toxic and the more reports the better because apparently even with all our reports this Annie was still allowed to continue to play.

Why does this slow our progression towards honor ? Not saying it woudln't have caused the Annie to be properly punished and even WITH us saying it and her prolly getting more than 1 report she still is not punished ...

Do you not think this is a little strict ? especially for those of us trying to get our honor 2 back ? I do not see a reason for this to slow honor progression ... I feel you need to realize that people are simply trying to help get the toxicity out of the game. Saying "GG" okay that maybe I understand but sometimes we are simply stating "GG" to our teammates that the game is over. I do not see why that slows our progress ...

Issue # 2

Saying "FF @ 15"

https://imgur.com/a/jHK0R

Our "Marksman" is 0/8 and our "Support" is 0/12 at what point is that not okay to ask for a forfeit ? I do not want to waste an extra 20 mins of my life in a game that is hopeless. I am sure my teammates don't want to sit on a prayer hoping to make a miracle too.

I do not see why this slows honor progression ... I or others are not trying to be negative ... the game is over ... let us just move on to the next game. Why force us to waste our time trying to overcome the impossible ? Asking your team if they would like to FF @ 15 should not be considered "Negative" at all.

I would like to say this too is far too strict .... there really is no reason for this to slow our honor progression.

So Riot please I just want some clarity on why this is slowing my progression from honor 1 to honor 2 ? Why does this slow any players honor progression ? I think you are being TOO strict when it comes to something as simple as this.

I do not see how #1 doing the right thing and trying to get the Annie punished for her behavior ( which she did not get btw! ) and #2 asking to FF the game so we can move onto another in the face of a hopeless situation is negative. We are simply trying to do the "right thing" and not "waste time".

We only live soo long you know ? why force us to waste more of our lives into something that is obviously never going to happen ? let us move on so we can play another game and enjoy ourselves. Instead of struggling in the worst conditions possible and hoping that a mircale will happen.

OH one last thing about Surrendering early pre 20 min surrender. Why is it that if 4 people say yes and one says no the one no overpowers 4 yes ? this again wastes our time and a player like Annie has all the power to decide if your team is FORCED to deal with her toxic behavior. 4 votes to 1 should instantly surrender the game period.

I hope this feedback is constructive enough for you guys to hear me out >.< I tried my best to explain because I am not too good at typing explanations ... I am a much better speaker lol. Please consider this feedback Riot and take it under consideration to take away the GG and FF@15 as negative and stop it from hindering our progression in honor.

GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL [slayer-jinx-catface]

Saying "GG" or " alerting others that your going to report them "

Saying GG in general is not concidered toxic or reason for a punishment, concidering you're using it as intended (end of game, virtual handshake). So saying GG is fine.

Singling out a teammate and crying for reports in all chat is not only completely useless, it's also harassment and therefore toxic. Someone breaking the ToS doesn't give you permission to do so aswell. You should know by now that the amount of reports per game is irrelevant since one report is enough to trigger the system.

at what point is that not okay to ask for a forfeit

Asking your team nicely, if they want to surrender or not is fine. Passive-aggressively ordering them to surrender at 15 minutes implying that you already lost and gave up is not.

I am sure my teammates don't want to sit on a prayer hoping to make a miracle too.

Well if you're all in the same boat there is no reason for you to admit to giving up then, right? If you're sure everybody shares your opinion the surrender vote should go through anyway.

If someone on your team refuses to surrender, you telling him to do so definitely won't change his mind

the game is over ... let us just move on to the next game

Yep. Game is over. Move on. Don't harass your teammates when the game is over. Don't bitch in chat when the game is over.

We are simply trying to do the "right thing" and not "waste time".

I don't think you understand how the ban system works and you definitely need to read the ToS which I'm convinced you never did

  1. There is no need to ask for reports.

1 report does the same thing as 9 reports. It flags the system to check for toxicity and if there is toxicity, a grade is assigned to that game. More reports will just return the same grade and does not increase the chances or speed of someone getting punished.

Asking for reports is similar to making fun of someone through a glass window cos you know they can't do anything back to you. Sort of passive-aggressive, and decently annoying to deal with.

  1. Negative attitude is demoralizing to the game. If you have given up, it means you have eliminated majority of the chances of winning. Every game has a comeback, people throw all the time, cos people suck at the macro game. If the game is truely over, then the enemy should be able to close out the game easily.

Ok, first, saying "Please report Insert champion is considered negative because the system doesn't care how many reports were made in a game. It checks if any reports were made.

Saying gg in mid game is generally considered negative because it's normally an end-game comment and looks like you think the game is effectively over.

While neither action is punishable, repeatedly asking for reports is considered harassment, and gg is saying game over-- usually saying you are giving up on your team.

As far as Annie "not getting punished" it's rare for a single game to trigger a punishment, espeically for gameplay trolling. As far as chat related issues, if the Annie received a chat restriction you would have no way to tell based on game history.

Bottom line? Don't worry about whether what happens to other players. Odds are you won't see them again. Just focus on making sure you play clean and remember this: Slow progress is still progress. If that Annie keeps inting and trolling, she'll hit a 2-week if it's her first offense, and that's an automatic 0-honor.
