Just had a game where...

Okay, Just finished a match (alt account if you're trying to check) of ARAM and it was a horrible experience.

I rolled master Yi, which normally I can make work pretty well, but they had a strong CC comp and I got killed a few times early, so my team's Orianna started berating me for dying more than once claiming I was a feeder. At this point I didn't want to hear it so I went about farming, cuz that's what Yi has to do, and he keeps insisting I'm bad and need to stop playing the way I am. Then as team fights become more frequent, craps on me for playing too safe "Why are you using your heal while we're fighting? stop being a coward." to which I explained that I was using it for the damage reduction to negate their burst. Guy still doesn't give a rip.

Mind you, at this point in the game the enemy team is snowballing pretty bad, but I've got 70-80 CS and am still only something like 2/5/8, while the Ori is 3/4/10 with only 4 CS. This guy was relentless, and I started responding back instead of doing the wise thing and muting, because I was mad that he was sabotaging my game and turning my team against me when I was doing fine. Things kept escalating until I asked him to stop trying to coach me cuz I didn't need his help, to which he responded "You do need help." followed a few seconds later by "A revolver would definitely help." At this point I snapped. Bitching at me all game is one thing, getting my allies to think I'm incompetent is just part of the troll's life, but telling ANYONE EVER to kill themselves is unacceptable. I retorted with something along the lines of "yeah it could get you to be quiet too" and shortly thereafter the game ends. What do you know but the first thing that shows up in post game chat is "Report Yi for being a @@@@" (although they used words more vulgar than I am willing to type here).

This may just be a bit of a rant post, but this community has gone to shit (although in general the boards users seem much better, if that puts it in perspective). I started playing back in season 3 and people thought the community was bad back then, but that was nothing compared to now. I'm genuinely POed that this kind of crap is not only still common, but generally more prevalent than ever.

My only real request is that Riot get more stringent about their standards regarding harassment in game, because it ruins the experience way more than someone feeding or the game having poor balance.

I do hope you reported that player. Behavior like that is unacceptable, and there's never a situation where any player should be telling another player to shoot themselves. That is most certainly the sort of thing that Riot needs to be aware of. And you can bet that if they did it to you, they probably have done it to multiple other players as well.

Like 1% of the player population cares about ARAM in the same fashion as ranked. Otherwise it's a casual fun game mode. Mute them, report them, move on. Don't sweat it. You aren't losing anything if you lose in ARAM.

I think you took it a little too personally because you were already frustrated by his condescending attitude towards you. I think it was the situation you were in that really made you take offense to that and you're really using it as an excuse. I mean, come on. It's NOT the same as saying "kill yourself". It's a joke. An easy joke at that. You practically set him up for it. You gotta understand some people's minds just work that way. I understand it. I think of terrible things to say all the time... I just hope no one actually takes them personally or seriously. Stop getting all worked up because of an easy, comedic joke. It is NOT the same as if he just said "kys". Call it douchey, call it whatever you want... but deep down you KNOW you're only upset about it because of the overall situation. Because he condescended to you and berated you for a bad start in ARAM (come on its Yi in aram... what a douche. Yi is a bitch in aram and everyone knows it) so when he really broke the rules by implying your death, you felt justified in upping your anger and offense. But just realize, it was only a joke and you're only really upset because of his entire attitude towards people. He's a douchey fuck who rags on people in ARAMs. Don't be a bitch and act like his joke was SOOOO horrible and offensive. Come on dude. Let people say offensive things. I don't want to live in a world where words and jokes are banned. Just because it's league doesn't mean you should throw away your ideals for the sake of getting someone punished who pissed you off in a game. It's just a stupid joke.

I was the first to die in a blind match and some guy got triggered and in all caps called me a feeder. Another match i died two or three times and three of my teammates said I was feeding, while fighting one of my counters. I love this game
