@riot so whats the use of reporting?

i mean ive reported tons of toxic people intentional feeders afk'rs and flamers but i havent seen or heard a thing about those people being punished is it that my report value is too low? or something because those toxic flamers mostly get away scott free because most players instantly leave chat lobby instead of reporting those toxic players e.g. a lee mid some games ago was flaming rather hard in all chat but after i entered the lobby everyone had left right after entering so in the end the lee only got 1 report

btw can we see our report value somewhere?

Your report value is only lowered if you keep making false reports. If you feel a player's actions should be punished, then report it, and don't worry about the report value. Reports are basically votes for what is acceptable and what isn't, so if you aren't voting then you can't shape the community.

You only get a notification that a recently reported player was punished when your report is from the match that triggered their punishment. If you don't get a notification that doesn't mean your report won't contribute to getting them punished, it just means they aren't quite there yet.

report card coming soon™

you only see the punishment message if your report was the "final straw" that got someone punished. No one knows if that punishment is just restricted to permabans or would you see that message on a 10 game chat restrict punishment.

Just a heads up about reports.

In each individual game 1 report = 9 reports in terms of actual value. Which is also why you should never call for others to report someone (a reportable offense in and of itself)!

For me it just serves as any other form of useless busy work, such as that you might get from a substandard teacher in school. It allows me to expend energy I would otherwise use, queuing right back up while still raging inside...
