Lmao, why is this community so full of complete snowflakes?

okay well I just got out of a 21 minute stomp in which every lane lost. Our lane was Leona Ezreal vs Yasuo Morgana - aka one of the most difficult matchups you can possibly face since both the adc and support were counter picked.

At one point leona literally watched while Morg tower dived me with her black shield on cooldown and I know her abilities were up, no e no q no r no nothing. So I was understandably pissed and spammed a couple of enemy vision pings on her to let her know how I felt. you know, adc main things.

Our jungler Sett didn't like that and told me to stop spam pinging. So naturally being my rebellious nature, I pinged enemy vision on him. One time.

He then proceeded to tell me I was muted and called me a trash kid. I laughed in his face with a simple "xD" and told him that spam pinging was part of LoL culture. And am I wrong?

"yeah for trash players" he said, "not for normal players". Apparantly every high elo youtuber is trash now.

Leona and sett kinda ganged up on me (they might have been premade idk) to call me bad, trash, tell me I was never going to get out of bronze (even though I'm not bronze) and tell me to uninstall. Then they proceeded to cry in post-game chat about how everyone needs to report me because I was sooo toxic that game.

Oh btw, there was one point in which I was recalling under tower, 10% hp, and enemy mid with no mia pings(Ekko) e flashed on me before I had a chance to cancel my back, not that it would've mattered. My team then typed "gg he died because he was flaming us" when I wasn't even typing? I told them I was dead either way but they did not appear to see my side.

I asked them in post game to repeat one toxic thing I said, and then I would report myself, cause I didn't flame. Guess what? they both insta left the lobby after I said that, lmao.

was I in the wrong here? I just thought it was funny but knowing riot's autoban system they will probably ban me for "being argumentative" or some BS (yes, you can get banned for arguing with people, even if it's in good humor)

By the way, I didn't start the spam pinging. Leona was spam pinging all laning phase. Full on question mark spam every time I got hit by a morg Q or whatever. I assume her and the jungler were premade because they both immediately started crying when I spam pinged a vision ping three times =)

If you have to make a whole post to justify yourself, that already tells you, you did something in the wrong. You are being a snowflake right now. If it was that serious of an issue report it to Riot support, not the forums. If you have an issue mute players, mute pings, etc. Don't come on here and cry about it. Move forward and get better. Get better than them and move on to a higher mountain. Be the best you can be.

Something is seeeriously wrong with you. So he can't share what happened. Can't vent. His team blamed him for being toxic. If he had said even the smallest insult he would have been banned. But not his teammates who call him trash for no reason( the entire game is crap, everyone feeds). You guys parrot this "you did something wrong, get better" this cliché has been around since LOL itself. I can't comprehend how people can repeat something instead of using logic.

Stop responding to toxic players in chat. That will get you banned, tilt you, and make your team tilt. If you do not have the will power to resist from responding to other players toxic behavior mute them. If it's that big a deal go into your setting and mute all the chats before you even get into the game. It's not that hard. Will power people will power and settings.

I wasn't responding to them in a negative manner at all. Just subtly tilting them by having some banter. Can't get banned for that. Besides the game was lost because our darius was dancing in base spamming ff votes.

Ask yourself, "Is what I'm going to say or do get me closer to a win or closer to a loss." Responding at all, positively or negatively, to someone who's being an asshole, is not going to get you closer to a win. Let them talk. Mute them.

Where'd you get that information? If he said the smallest insilt he wouldve been banned, but everyone else wouldve gotten away with it? Are you living in reality? Pretty much. When people act toxic and shit towards someone and stuff like that, it speaks more about themselves than the person they are talking about. Everyone is mad/angry. They start on the internet too much. This is what social media does and when people care about ranks too much.

Don't type to them. Just keep pinging ???. Also, people will literally blame you for everything. Just last week I was called a troll in an Aram game by an Azir that ended the game with 3k damage to champs. I was kata and had more damage than anyone in that game and more damage than my 4 teammates combined.

People are just stupid/ignorant sometimes, and it's not your job to fix them. If you feel they stepped over the line and deserve to be punished, don't hesitate to hit that report button. But don't try to tell them what they are doing wrong(The same way you don't try to police the streets when someone does something illegal. IT'S NOT YOUR PLACE.), and don't ask others to report with you, as 1 report is the same as 9 reports.

How does replying help? Pinging is faster and doesn't distract you as much. So, between the 2, ping is the lesser of 2 evils.

Sometimes books of matches are the best if your alternative is Gas.

Of course the overall best course of action is to just not give a fuck and go on. Obviously.

did you read what I said? Some people just have this compulsive need to respond in some way. I personally have never had this issue. But some people do. So I give them tips on how to not get banned if they ABSOLUTELY FEEL LIKE THEY MUST REPLY.

Yeah, you're giving them tips on how to circumvent detection of their behaviour instead of actually addressing the issue. This is the equivalent of telling a kleptomaniac how to get away with theft. The problem with their behaviour isn't that they were caught, the problem is with their behaviour.

The golden rule has always been "Don't be a jerk" regardless of the tools you use to be one. In fact, none of the rules that exist specify a method. If you are harassing somebody with pings, why shouldn't it be considered harassment? And that's the report options, which are far more specific than the rules the summoner code lays out.

I've even seen Tantram specifically "smite" somebody for the fact that they've been spamming pings on their teammates. It's been too long since than to be able to dig it up, I'm afraid. (Ironically, one of the threads that came up when searching was somebody saying the exact same thing.)

"smite" as in punish? I have never seen anyone be punished for spamming pings. And I think if it was something that was done we would have seen it in these boards. And if spam pinging is considered harassment these days, then let's ban spam emoting too. Or spamming laugh. Jesus.

Spam pinging isn't generally considered harassment, just like verbal spam isn't generally considered harassment.

It's considered harassment, when it is done specifically to harass players. Which is specifically what you were suggesting.

We have different perceptions of what harassment is then. When someone is talking shit to you. And you reply by using the ????????? ping, you are not harassing them by my logic. You are just showing that you disagree/dislike what they said. Maybe for you that's harassment. For me it isn't.

Also, can you confirm Riot Tantram actually punished someone for excessive/inappropriate usage of pings? Or you don't remember?

I never said, start pinging if your initial response would have been to do nothing or to mute.

I have from the very beginning said that the best way to respond is to not respond or to mute.

I am not pretending anything. You and another user are treating me like I am promoting toxicity. When all I am trying to do is provide someone that has the urge to respond with an outlet that will not get them in trouble, or escalate the situation.

And I believe I am allowed to have an opinion. Am I not? Have I insulted you? Have I been rude? If so, I do apologise as this was not my intent at all. But if my personal belief is that league would be hella less toxic if every person spam pinged ??? instead of responding with chat, I am going to support it. (again I am only saying to do this if one feels the NEED TO RESPOND IN SOME WAY, not to do it to annoy if their initial intention was to mute/ignore)

I don't see the reason you are telling me my replies have the intention of annoying and exacerbating you or anyone. And I am not trying to move goalposts at all.

Maybe your opinion is that those that feel the need to reply should all be eventually permabanned unless they stop replying AND don't ping, that is a perfectly fine opinion to have. I just disagree. (I am not saying this is in fact your opinion, you haven't said what the people that NEED to respond should do if they find themselves incapable of muting/ignoring according to you, I would love to hear it though)

I just believe there are people that actually feel like they need to respond. That's all. You think there aren't and all those that reply to trolls/flamers with chat are actually doing it while having 100% control over their emotions. That's ok. We just disagree.

Have a good Sunday, I enjoyed our back and forth conversation. I think I will be able to convey my views on the matter with better accuracy and be more clear about it in the future, if it comes up again.

Once the board builds up too much of a chain it simply tacks on any further replies to the last comment that hit the maximum.

It's why I would recommend to view threads in chronological mode and also make sure to quote the entire reply so people know who/what you're replying to.

That is how I remember it. I wouldn't make a definitive statement on it, though. Not because my memory is blurry, but because I know just how unreliable even clear and distinct memories can be.

Non-verbal because if you use words it is possible to slip and say something that will get you in trouble. I am suggesting this way as an alternative outlet to engaging in verbal communication that will grab the entire team's attention and can be escalated. What does it matter what you mean with the pings? The other person doesn't know, so they can't take offence in what they don't know. The punishment system doesn't take intent into consideration as far as I know. If someone says something toxic but their intent is to tease they get punished. If someone says something cute but their intent is demeaning they don't get punished. AFAIK at least.

The memories of people from 9/11 I saw in a short documentary made me question every fucking thing I remember too. The amount of stuff our brain just "fills in" is too creepy.

you keep downplaying your own actions with saying "it was one time" and "a simple ping" and what not. its disgusting.

so what? its harassing and just distracting. is it needed? no. If you don't have anything nice to say or do, don't say or do it at all.

Apparently trying to just play the game, have a nice time, improve, is just unheard of. We have people bitching about players in their elo when not everyone is the best player, or can read your mind, or maybe even knows better than you not to do something. You are in the same elo/getting matched up with them because you are both of similar skill. Want to play with high elo players? go play like it.

Everything expects absolute perfection. But when players do things right, no one cares or says anything. When someone does something wrong, everyone goes crazy and just acts like its the biggest deal ever. This is happened just due to internet flash shock culture where people just blow up at the smallest thing seen as wrong or dumb. It's insane.

Learn to just enjoy the damn game, and improve. Stop flaming people. You acted toxic with your smileys and pings but down own up to it. People like you are the reason I hate games in general now a days. Because you will all never learn and gaming is not anything what it used to be. It used to be great. But now it's full of people who keep wanting to be a world class player and expecting world class teammates. There is no FUN anymore.

I dont actually care about my elo. If I did I would abuse broken champs. And I dont care if it was "harassment". Oh poor you. I harassed someone and might've hurt their feelings by pinging them in a video game!! It's like you've never seen or heard of xbox live before.

Just because other people including high elo youtubers spam ping doesn't make it right or not toxic. Two wrongs don't make a right. If you are spam pinging vision ping on top of someone in lane that doesn't help anyone in game. If you want people to stop being snowflakes maybe you should look at yourself and let it go.

I'm an adc main and I have to deal with ragey supports on the daily.

Supports going afk because I didn't heal them while they were 1hp and ignited, spam pinging every time I miss a skillshot/cs, the list goes on. When I switched roles from support to adc I realised support mains are just as toxic and childish as adc mains.
