There's nothing greater than being able to /mute all and mute all pings. TY riot
Since everyone I've ever played with tells me to kms and spam pings on cooldown, this makes the game fun again. I do this at the start of every game. TY

It seems that some people with lacking social self control might be better served by actually doing what the op describes. However, I think that most people should use mute and ping mute only against those people whose chat/pings are harmful to their playing. Some (or maybe even most) people do use chat and pings properly after all, and proper use of chat and pings increases the team's chances of winning the match, so if you have some self control, you should not follow OP's advice.
