I have reported people who actually do deserve to get reports, those who are over the line toxic, "run it down mid" players, ect, not just spaming out reports on the whim, and Riot did nothing on those people. So yeah... this gif is 100% true

Not getting a message doesn't mean they did nothing. You only get the message if your report was "the last straw"

good chance that based on your claim you are triggering too easily and have reports that legit get thrown out. reports have weight depending on who reports, and how often action is taken against persons reported.

Am I triggering too easily, or are you being too tolerant? Do you accept people perverting the use of the MIA ping? Do you accept people trying to bully others out of their role? Do you not consider prehemptive signs of flaming ("now that you've traded roles you're supposed to win at any cost") as punishable even if you don't lose and they don't actually start applying their half-threats?

Depends on situation. a few per game is not worth any action agianst the offending parties and therefore not worth a report.

Not really, but I will accept some honest to goodness role trades, which do happen from time to time, and can seem bad if you aren't privy to the whole convo

you see this is probably the thing that makes your reports worthless. It's too easy to call anything preemptive flaming, because it isn't flaming, and you have no idea if the person would flame afterwards or not.

Yeah you trigger a bit too easily. still gonna hold to my point. try to put down the report cannon for a few weeks save for the most terrible of people.

when I say most terrible I mean it as well. no light flaming, literally save it for intentional feeders and hardcore flamers.

And apart from that I get a couple cases per game of team member going "omg noob team I ulted 5 people why do you deal no damage" yea, sorry for not right clicking strong enough for your taste "omg report for intentionally feeding when one has done nothing but click AWAY from the enemy since the first second of the game; then there's the enemy "please report my team" "for?" "tg fdp" in all chat.

just a normal part of the game. league is competitive, like a sport, and also like sports there is going to be yelling and gloating and all other things that come from adrenaline pumping.

This seems too startlingly like a overly violent version of your attitude. where your first instinct is to remove someone that bothers you before figuring as to why their actions were what they were. Perhaps I can explain to you your own misgivings with a karma VO line. "never become a monster to defeat one"

well, I have both good news and bad news.

good news, not everyone is a bad person. there are plenty of people that take the interests of others over their own interests, with no reasons as to why.

bad news, I have a distinct feeling you are not among them, nor have you personally managed to identify one.

I only report people who are toxic too. The only time I report someone for feeding is if they literally say they aren't trying, or if it's obvious they're doing it on purpose (which I honestly haven't seen in about half a year).

i've gotten it twice in a row for the same player it might still be in my match history it was a camille player in nexus siege that was inting behind all their turrets in their base, that and calling us down-syndrome fa****s didn't help her cause either very next game she inted and said lag the whole game gause we had a mf with lag the previous game.

Supposedly your reports begin to get disregarded if you report people who aren't displaying punishable behavior. I try to only report people who are seriously toxic rather than everyone who is the slightest bit moody.

I've heard that you only get the "thanks to your report this player has been punished" message only if your report was the one that finally pushed them over the line. If you report a player for being toxic, at the very least that report is going to be kept in their history as damning evidence when they come to be reported again and again in the future.

Well the only time I saw someone got punished, me and the other player who reported him both got the message he had been punished. This guy was a really extreme case though. He kept getting mad at our teammates for feeding (except me by some miracle idk), even though he wasn't doing so well himself. He threatened to afk multiple times, then actually did for about 3 minutes and came right back only to start flaming again. Even when I looked into his match history after the fact he had two leaves on record (which is probably why he came back into our game, probably got some message that he'd left too many games recently). If he hadn't been punished, I would've known the system was a complete waste of time.

I'd been wondering if anyone else was getting as fed up with the general toxicity as I am. I stopped playing my placement matches a while back because three in a row ended up devolving into either flame-chat or intentional feeding.

Yep, you're effectively contributing to making this community worse. Reports are there to stop people from being harmful, not to bully them for fun. You make it sound like people genuinely just report people because they want them to suffer, but that's not true. People want to prevent other people's suffering by circling the douchebags out and getting them banned.

I'm probably evil but I do like the side-effect of the really toxic ones suffering.

For the lesser cases, no, I want them to learn that their behaviour is unacceptable and to act differently in the future. If they can then later share that insight with others, all the better.
