Permaban because IFS got delayed

Will not get into why my friend got the ban because he wanted to get a rest from the game and he knows how to trigger IFS. We went on to play the game and cursed each other out of fun and nothing happened. It was only after we finished game #2 that he got a 14 day suspension for his game #1. Today he checked his account again and he got reported in the game #2 as well and the ban is now permanent!

Shouldn't IFS issue bans instantly after a game? Shouldn't 14 day bans be a warning before perma? He pretty much got 2 ban punishments at once. He's got a permaban while he was already banned for 14 days.

Send in a ticket to Player Support. If the behavior wasn't super egregious there's a strong chance they'll honor the first ban and give him one more chance. Let this be a lesson to both of you that in-game chat that isn't done over the /msg channel to your friend only is subject to the full rules of League's behavioral expectations.
