Proof that Riot will ban based on automated system WITHOUT HUMAN REVIEW.

So I was chat banned several days ago for 25 games. I think it was unfair, but whatever. My reform card had this game, where I was support and laning with Ashe. Ashe died already 2 times at like minute 4, he was pretty tilted and blaming and ranting at me for "going on the wrong guy" since I was attacking the support and he apparently wanted me to attack the ADC, and he died, and whatever. So, we continue in lane, and I get a clear poke/harass shot at their support, so I take my shot, and this Ashe sits behind me and runs in circle (no attack) while both their support and ADC jump on me and just sits there and laughs since he through it was revenge. So I died right there on the spot, because Ashe literally wouldn't even autoattack full health since hes getting revenge on me. So anyways, after that I decided to leave lane (since I'm not gunna lane with that Ashe anymore). Then, Ashe starts saying in chat how I was the troll and that I abandoned my lane (this is like lvl 5 by now), since no one else saw what he did and he was just bs'ing to make me look bad. Anyways, we lose the game, a lot of people reported me because troll Ashe was ringleading in all chat to blame me. So anyways, this was one of the games I was chat restricted for.

So fine, I take some responsibility for that since I did get mad at the end, we lost and why whole team was tilted, I should probably know better than to argue in chat and should probably just muteall in game and play. Ok, so fine I got 25 game chat suspended whatever.

So, a few days later, I am on like game like 7 of my 25 chat ban, anyways I am support again (always am que fill), our team losing again pretty hard, everyone tilted. The ADC (I think it was an Ashe again), starts rallying in chat again that its my fault for the loss, I had ghost as one of my summoner spells, and ADC didn't like it, called me troll says I shouldn't pick ghost and everyone needs to report me. ** Now, since I was on my chat ban, I didn't reply or couldn't reply, and I think Ashe took that as a confirmation or proof that I was a troll or trolling since I didn't try to argue it so she rallies team to report me for unsportsmanlike conduct or trolling or something. **

So after that game I got lunch of something, came back to my computer and it shows that I am "Suspended for 2 weeks, please check email for reason." I didn't believe it at first, thought it was a bug, so I logged off, then it wouldn't let me log in again, saying same thing "Suspending 2 weeks, please check email for reason."

So, of course I didn't receive any email, so I was really curious why I was banned, so I make a support ticket through the website saying I didn't receive an email or reason why I was banned please give me a reason. So i wait a day, then support gets back, and just says I was banned for being extremely toxic, they don't have a reason, will get back to me or forward it to fine out the reason. So, then the next day I get another reply, saying I was banned for being toxic, my next ban would be permanent

**also, here is the best part, he gave me the chat logs for context on why I was being banned for 2 weeks, and its the same game that I already received the chat restriction several days ago above that I posted above (see the chat logs above). ** So yeah, thats right, I was banned several days after I was already chat restricted for the same game? So literally, Riot can go through your entire game history at any time, even if you already received punishment and reform for it, and then use that as a reason for a ban.

Of course, its Riot's game, they can ban whoever they want for no reason, however I do not believe this was the case at all. The customer service rep was just trying to grasp at any possible reason to why I was banned, but the truth was he didn't really know why I was banned. The truth is I was banned because the automated system received multiple reports against me in the game above, when I was already on chat restriction and the Ashe rallied up the team to report me because they blamed me for the loss (hint: we were all playing horribly in that loss). Our team was all tilted, but Ashe thought since I was using ghost as as support, and I didn't type in chat much (well, I was chat restricted), that I am a troll. Keep in mind how funny this is, since the Riot CSR later told me, my toxic behavior was in part for arguing with teammates. So, apparently I am toxic if I argue with a teammate about an issue (in this case Ashe trolling me), however if I do not type in chat (because I was chat restricted) and don't defend myself to some accusation, then this is confirmation to my team that I am a troll and should be reported.

So I received reports from my team, and was banned simply for getting reports. This is the dirty secret that Riot doesn't want you to know, the automated system will ban you simply if you receive reports (there may be some threshold and possibly because I was already on chat restriction this was an extra factor) even if the reports are not actually legitimate! Apparently their viewpoint is, if a customer/player is upset enough to report you, you must be hurting their game experience therefore you are toxic. The first Riot CSR could not say why I was banned. Second Riot CSR (escalated) gave the reason why I was 2 week suspended as some previous game which I was already chat restricted and serving a sentence for. The truth is, the reason I was banned was simply because I was unpopular and reported. The reason why they can't say this directly is because they do not want the notion that you can be banned automatically, and want to create the illusion that a human is actually behind the process, and it has some "fairness" to it.

tl;dr: Riot will ban or suspend you with a fully automated system based on reports that you get, even if they are unfair or unjustified reports! They want to keep this a secret to have illusion of fairness, however reality they are just cutting corners to save money have not have to pay as many humans to actually work and review games, since this is time consuming and expensive. When contacting CSR support about this, they were confused and just pulled up some random game in my history that I was already punished for as reason, as to not reveal the real reason that they do not know why I was banned and it was due simply that I got reports against me.

Riot, however the problem with your system is, once people start realizing that your ban/suspension system is automated and unfair, and that you cut corners, you lose credibility in your game, and people will move elsewhere if there isn't integrity.

It's public knowledge that the Instant Feedback System is automated, but it's pretty good at weeding out false reports. If Player Support gave you logs for your 14 day ban that were from your chat restriction, you'll just need to make that clear in your ticket. Don't be rude and don't provide excuses or lots of irrelevant information (it makes it harder to focus on the real issue), and be patient waiting on a response.

You can't argue with idiots "You're always right" Mute them when they argue, report them, don't bother ganking just go farm the jungle do whatever let everything fall and lose (You can't gank a lane especially with skarner) if your team is already feeding, not doing what they are supposed to do, and arguing.

And yes even though some people argue here that suspensions are not "automated" every ban and suspension almost except extreme toxic cases "Is automated" It can be "Reviewed" by a Rioter if you put in a ticket, or if they just happen to watch you trolling, but for the most part automated only up for review if you contest it.

And I agree Riot needs to take a heavier stance on "Passive Trolls" people who don't do what they are supposed to, let alone "Junglers" who throw off lanes" but the chances of this happening are quite small because Riot deems it as bad play even when they do everything in their power to upset other players on your team and make them argue so they get in trouble such as yourself.

Gets on my nerves when people bring up that I'm playing Skarner. Better just not to talk about Skarner at all.

As much as Riot is ultra draconian now... they wouldn't ban someone without a manual review.

I'm pretty sure that's a very strict policy... now whether the manual review is just or unjust is a matter for debate, specifically you can request a re-review in support ticket venue.
