only .006% of players are toxic enough to get a ban ???

lets think about that number for a minute

60 million players x .006% = 3600 players

really only 3600 players have been banned? in that case i think riot needs to up the punishments quite a bit. there is a teammate toxic/troll enough to deserve a ban in at least 1/3rd of my games.

that's 1 in 12 teammates, so I would expect to see a number like 6% getting banned. .006%? that means about 1 teammate in every 4000 games you play is likely getting banned. that is just shockingly low.

It's old data now, but Lyte did a perception test back in the day. When people were asked how many of their 10 most recent games contained a toxic player, most people said 7-8, when the actual number was closer to 1-2. There's a LOT of perception bias in League.

As Ulanopo said, that statistic is from a long time ago - however it's not that far off even today.

Further, I will point out that I believe that number is defined by the number of unique players - i.e. if someone gets their main account permabanned, then gets 10 smurfs permabanned, they only count that as one "permaban". I may be wrong there however.

Regardless, that number is only for permanent bans - upwards of 50% (approaching 90% for some punishment tiers) of players who are punished at any given tier never get a further punishment.

If we banned everyone that said GGEZ and offended some poor fragile soul we'd no longer be playing this game.

that's their way of trying to shame people that got banned, that number is unrealistic at best

Every other game I play there is someone trolling or afk, I agree punishments should be stronger and chat logs shouldn't be the only thing looked at. Some people troll without even saying anything and run around the map and into towers just because. Riot doesn't ban them because chat doesn't say anything.

3600 naaah thats not true or maybe thats the perma bans, who knows, anyway in the last 3 weeks i managed to get 20 people banned, the problem with that is it pushed me from plat 1 straight to plat 3 , so they kind off ruined my goal to get diamond...

anyway......

they ruined my games, I ruined their season ,hehe xD For the record I'm honor lvl 5 , and I manage to get honor in almost every game ,even when I lose , so idk how but the more honorable u are the higher value the reports you give are

that's cause most toxics reside in lower elo, is my thinking.

Idk where you got 60 million, but if you used that as the number of players, your statistics are completely schewed and irrelevant. You would have to find the total number of accounts made, not active players. But maybe that's what you used, idk.

This all assumes that you believe the released statistics in the 1st place( since there is no 3rd party verification).

because riot wants the community to reform so they dont have to perma ban. its quite simple

Still better than Overwatch even at 7-8.

These are the amount of players that are pemabanned. I also thought the statistics they gave out were different, does anybody have an actual source for this number because I could actually use it.
