This guy actually uses the "just mute them" argument despite riot's having said on multiple occasions that this is not a viable argument since if it was, the people i was being "toxic" to could have easily just muted me. Incredibly hypocritical. I also especially like the part where I ask him to make the ban permanent if he is not going to even consider lifting it. He then asks me if I really want him to permanently ban my account like he is considering doing so, then when i say "yes" he goes "Im not going to be able to do that today" riot support is jokes.

You're looking at that backwards. The Mute button is there to end the abuse, not justify toxicity.

You are unhinged. I would use these two weeks to calm down. Rather than burning all your bridges in anger, just try to adapt to what is required.

How to deal with toxic teammates:

  1. Try to defuse the situation. Accepting blame even when it's not really your fault often gets people to shut up. "My bad guys."
  2. If the situation continues, say you've muted them, but don't actually do it. They may eventually have valuable things to say. Sometimes knowing no one is listening often gets people to shut up. "Alright, going to mute you now before I tilt."
  3. If the situation still continues, actually mute them.
  4. If you had to proceed past step 1, report them after the game.

How NOT to deal with toxic teammates:

  1. Spend the whole game arguing with them.
  2. Become toxic yourself and throw out a bunch of insults.
  3. Get yourself banned because the toxic players reported you for getting toxic yourself.
  4. Whine to support like a 4 year old throwing a tantrum.
  5. Insult support on the forum, as well as all the people agreeing with support's assessment.

Mute are there for people who are not capable of treating/viewing the situation properly (this may be due to lack of emotional control or "wisdom"). Otherwise, you'll risk being punished like this. Do not let your emotions get in the way to what's important. It's usually a waste of time defending yourself in-game. Save it for end-game. Sometime, it's not even necessary to defend yourself at all.

I think the question

do you really want to be permanently banned because you will never get the account back"

was meant for you to inform you what does permanently banned really mean as well as making it clear if...you really wanted that. You know, just making sure you're actually understanding the consequences. Also, the question can serve as a way for you to self-reflect, and perhaps if you're blinded by hatred/anger, it could also calm you down and start seeing how far you are going. Seeing the word "permanently banned" can scare people straight if it's concerning their own account.

Riot Support truly cannot ban you by request xD. You thinking that he/she would actually permaban you was probably an accidental implication, no mischievous intentions xP.

I can't believe how short sighted people in this community are. I'm glad you think i deserve this ban. I would love to see what you think after having seen the incredibly toxicity coming from these two individuals towards me, not to mention the fact that it was all because they were trying to force me to give them my assigned role, which is why they were so incredibly toxic towards me to begin with. This community is horrendous.

I also love how when i ask him what i said that was so toxic, he simply links my entire chat log for the ONE game i was reported, and goes "you were complaining" when its pretty obvious that im responding to toxicity much more than i am being toxic myself.

You can send in a support ticket and ask them to deactivate the account if you really want. Not sure what questions or the process is, but they do it through tickets, not chat.

It's just really funny to me that on one hand riot's system tells me "You are doing a great job! way to keep it sportsmanlike!" bumps you to honor level 2 "here's some key fragments for being such a good sport!!"

and then later

"You are so toxic that you must be suspended!!" "we have found a pattern of misbehavior on your account!!"

which is especially funny when you consider that it takes a pattern of GOOD behavior to get honor level 2 back, and earn key fragments.

Just mute and report. it's that simple, instead of trying to dish out justice yourself and getting punished for being toxic/negative. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
