I.P Bans
How does IP bans work? Or bans in general? Is there an amount of perma-bans you have to go through to get IP banned from riot?
Just curious, since I've heard some people got IP banned years ago and was still wondering if it was relevant.

No, as far as I know Riot does not IP ban people. This is because of things like dynamic IP addresses, which can render them kinda useless.
I think if they did IP ban they would've IP banned Tyler1 :p
Riot does not use IP bans (because they really don't do shit), instead, for the most extreme cases, they issue player bans, where they ban you the second they find out it's you.
Really, it's only effective against streamers, because it's rather hard for them to find it out for non-streamers, and it's been done only in a few instances.
Riot has never ip banned anyone cuz ip are easy to get a new one for.
What ur thinking of is an id ban. An id ban is if riot finds out that the peron banned has made a new account, they will ban it on the spot. Aka that person is no longer allowed to play, not just their accs
The only IP ban I've heard about was reversed very quickly due to knocking out an entire college dorm.
Dude if riot banned IPs the only players left would be the devs, since everyone else has been banned at least once.
