Is there someone around who was very very toxic and still managed to reform?

Repeat after me.

It's just a game and meant to be fun.
If I'm not having fun I shouldn't be playing it. I don't want to play a game that makes me miserable, I'd rather get a job because then I'd have money. Or ride a bike. Either way I will make sure to play this game and have fun doing it win or lose and no matter how terrible my allies turn out to be.
I was terrible once too.

Once I got a two week ban I really struggled looking for ways on how to reform, and believe it or not I actually turned to watching more of tyler1 and his streams and how he handles teammates and chat while playing league in a somewhat passive-aggressive way while letting his anger out without directly insulting his teammates or offending anyone. I tried that in one game this morning without any curse words or direct insults and got perma-banned on my account that I've spend hundreds on, so good luck.

I don't follow to know how he's doing but... tyler1

RenektonTopOnly (rto) - great positive streamer and high elo renekton main... self-admits he used to be super toxic

I'm sure there are others

Me!

Its simple. You just gotta ignore the trash players that feed. They won't change no matter what you tell them.

Kiss Riot's ass and give them money. You can reform even if you don't, but you can forget about them recognizing it.

I mean I don't go out of my way to piss people off. When other people start flaming me, shouldn't I at least be able to call them out for toxicity? Riot said no, and I'm "dishonorable" because if it.

Trying to avoid doing toxic things is like trying to scoop water with a sieve or a slotted spoon. It is quite difficult and ineffective.

Instead of avoiding doing bad things, it is more effective to focus on doing good things instead. Over time you'll find that the toxic behaviors fade and the useful / positive ones take over as your default. It just takes time to build the habits.

That's just a summary, there's a lot we can talk about with this as well as examples of how to do it and such. If you'd like to pursue this line of discussion more with me just let me know in a reply.

Honestly it's about focusing on yourself. Not the 0/33 master yi, not the garen with 6 tears if the goddess, not the four afks in the spawn. You are not going to be able to change others, and honestly will burn out trying. The only thing you should worry about is improving your own skills.

A good way of doing this is every time you die for example, look at what YOU did wrong, and if you include anyone else on your team in that you immediately fail that analysis. You are not going to get the same players, and if you do its because either A) You came into a group with them, and if they are that bad/toxic it would be best to not play with them B) You're playing at a time where the ques are REALLY small, take a break and let them drop/raise their mmr so when you que up next you are less likely to get matched again.

The biggest thing is pretending the others do not exist, as once the games over theres a high probability you will NEVER see them again. Which means any "reasons" for dying, losing, or generally being bad at the game should only be because of you. Especially if you go on a losing streak, with nine randoms, every time.

I have a friend who admits over the course of this year he was able to get 3 14 day bans on his main which requires to reform somewhat in between

I am very very toxic and have never gotten more than a chat restriction. I used to be quite possibly the least toxic player, for like years. You have to spread out the games where you tell people to get run over by a car, eat shit, choke on their vomit and kill themselves though. If I do it too often its a problem. Only do it to like the worst type of person.
