Things i don't understand about riot's policy

I've been playing this game for like 4 years and the afk/feeding/sabotage is just as bad as ever if not worse.

When you dodge a game in rank you get 5 min penalty then 30 minute penalty every game after for 24 hrs. The onlly reason i can think of for that is to make people create smurf accounts so riot can make more money.

Or you can allow yourself to be placed in a game with morgana jungle and zed support and slowly go insane over the next half hour.

Once you are in a game like that you get angry because there's nothing you can do about it but pretend to play so you don't get in trouble for afk while you try hopeless ly to get a ff vote which will never work because it has to be unanimous. then 20 minutes later as 3 waves of super minions are almost done killing the nexus they finally ff.

meanwhile your team mates are begging each other and the enemy team to report anyone and everyone for anything they can think of.

I've seen arguements that say well we can't let ppl dodge all they want because it creates longer que times.

well my que time is 30 minutes right now if i dodge the next one it's an hour you could wait hours for a game if you dodge bad teams.

i'm having trouble believing that this system is not totally retarded.

is there actually anyone who would mind waiting longer for a game if they had a better chance of winning?

apart from that the whole system seems like a nazi training. at least in bronze it feels like anyone will do or say anything they can to get other ppl in trouble.

Who are you to decide if the morgana jungle is an invalid or non-viable pick? Who are you to decide that zed support is the same?

You are not the team captain, and in normal, ranked, and bot games alike people are permitted to play whatever champion they feel best fits the situation. Simply being non-meta does not mean a loss is their fault. Let me say it again: Simply picking a non meta champion does not mean you can blame someone for a loss.

However, you are wholly to blame for any trolling/toxicity that you claim was because of their non-meta pick. If you troll them, afk, leave, dodge, etc. because you're unhappy with their non-meta pick, that's a problem with you, not them.

well i'm not trying to be the team captain and i do give everyone the benefit of the doubt but after so many games i've actually made a list of things that i try to avoid because i seem to almost always lose if there's things like:

more than 1 adc on team urgot on my team karthus on my team lucian on my team fid jungle adc jungle taliya mid shaco jungle lee sin

i've just noticed that the game is very difficult if any of these things ore on my team.

And it isn't your place as a player on the team to tell people they aren't allowed to play a certain champ, a certain role, a certain champ in a certain role, or a certain AD/AP team composition.

Your place as a player is to work with your team to win the game once you get in game. If you choose to dodge, troll, feed, or be toxic, simply because someone played something you don't like, you are the one at fault.

i'm not trying to tell ppl how to play i'm just saying i do not wish to play with them.

Then don't play League. You are matched with people at your skill level. If you can't accept that not everyone will play exactly how you want to, you either only play custom games with people who agree with you, or you don't play a multiplayer game.

Twitch is one of the most savage things you can encounter, specially against a team that hasn't seen it before. Ganks are insane strong because of the stealth and clears are decent (not so fast but fairly high HP). Graves is actually meta at the moment, and that will put two adc on the team and an adc jungle. Also Quinn used to work there but I haven't seen her in a while, mostly because no one mains quinn so she has to be uber strong to get played consistently.

Lee sin, lucian, shaco and taliyah I'm guessing is because of their mechanics. Honestly that is a roll dice, I have seen some great lee sin players on bronze but is exclusively what they play. The 3 champions are currently really strong if you get a hold of their mechanics. Shaco is average but not many players know how to deal with a good shaco that know what he is doing.

As for urgot, karthus, and fid. They are currently not in the best of spot. Urgot is semi strong but got the bad fame from the older days that he was garbage (he is not anymore but none plays him) so you usually pick them because you are really comfortable with them, the plus side is that your enemies usually don't know how you work since they haven't seen that many of you.

i get that yea every once in a while i see an amazing lee sin or whatever but it's not worth the risk.

You say you're in bronze and have a 30 minute wait? Is this because of low priority queue? If it is, you get up to 20 minutes added onto your queue, and I don't think it worsens after that point.

Ellis Dee1 votes

no it happens if you dodge more than 1 game. but what you are talking about is a 20 minute wait for 5 games which is also rediculous.

It sounds like you have absurdly high standards/preferences for ranked play. At Bronze Elo, you can carry on individual skill alone, and I'd suggest just improving on your own skills if you want to reduce the dodges you do.

that may be the case but it feels like something is going out of it's way to inhibit my progress. I do suck at the game but i used to be silver and it seems like getting back is not gonna happen
