Hello guys, im plat 3 and i played a normal game with Graves top for the first time, but i had a Trynda main vs, he played good, used ghost and his w all the time, but he was really, really, really negative, always said ez, always said youre bad etc, even after the game, gg ez game noobs, better luck next time idiots. I reported him, and my question is, why the hell do i play with people like thisin plat? Shouldnt someone like this get insta punished?
Riot has a policy that excuses the rare bout of light to medium negativity with the reasoning that everyone is human and is going to snap some times. People who show consistent poor behavior (or extremely poor behavior) are punished.
That policy aside, you can't be sure that the system hasn't punished them. The feedback that someone you reported got punished is pretty bad. It is rumored to only occur if your report is the final report that caused the system to scan their logs, then assigns a punishment based on those logs.
I have been awarded by Rito Games with the title of "Within the Top 5% of Toxic Players", so I can tell you exactly what he was doing.
He was trying to tilt the living shit out of you.
As you get higher and higher in rank, you see the same people more often, just due to player pool. So if he runs into you again, maybe the very next game, he knows you are tilted.
Also, maybe he is just an asshat. There is always that.

plats are pretty much the worst elo in terms of toxicity.
this wouldn't be a insta punish instance. it will probably be a chat restriction at most and will take a few more games for them to get punished.

This is one of the big problems with the system. It's just not consistent. If 2 people do something bad, 2, 1 or none of them might get punished. That's why no one follows the rules.
