Nah, I'm just kidding. I was using some pretty shitty hardware for my internet, and honestly, today I figured I wanted to deal with the disconnects as much as my teams liked dealing with my disconnects. Went out, bought new hardware, did what needed to be done.

LeaverBuster is in place to ensure that if you're consistently having troubles playing complete matches of League of Legends, then you take active steps to resolve the issue so that it doesn't happen again. I hadn't gotten LeaverBuster in a while, but even having connection issues occasionally is a lot to deal with - I felt bad leaving my teams hanging, trust me.

And as a last note, some (actually, almost all) connection issues aren't related to Riot's servers. Sure, you may be able to access YouTube and the Boards while unable to connect to the game servers, but that can be due to a large variety of issues, from ISP routing problems to hardware issues like the ones I had. Just wanted to add this last tidbit to add a bit of objectivity in trying to identify connection issues; it's generally not on Riot's end :p

i did that when i had ping problems a few month ago. played a custom game for 20min, everything totally fine. start an aram not even 10 sec in ping over 800.

I had few leaver buster punishments because my laptop used to overheat while playing, which resulted in me disconnecting from game for 3-5 minutes. Fortunately I got it fixed, the problem is gone and I've never again got leaver buster since. I'm not really mad for getting these punishments, they made me more desperate to get rid of the problem.

As someone with not a lot of experience with computers and technology, could you go a little in-depth on that? (aside from that I like the point you presented :D)

Last time I got punished by LeaverBuster, I wasn't AFKing or disconnecting.

Literally the longest idle time I had, was coming back to PC when the game was at 1:50.

You'd think that doesn't trigger LeaverBuster, but oh well, seems like you can even piss durning loading.

Are you serious right now? I as a season 1 EU player can assure you Riot has had plenty of server problems. (note how I said EU and not EUW, that's right, pre server split! For those of you uninformed, in ancient times Riot had so many server problems because of their huge player base, that they had to split EU into EUW & EUNE. Never Riots fault... yeah sure.)

I never got leaverbuster btw, just felt like throwing this in here.
