I have been banned 6 times but riot could of prevented it(READ BEFORE DOWNVOTING INTO OBLIVION!)

hunterspec·10/29/2016, 10:20:24 PM·5 votes·3,201 views

so had my 6th account banned today, nothing new, didn't surprise me however i could of still been on my original account and giving riot tons of more money(i don't spend anymore now) and been happy ever after and no one would have to suffer from my toxicity.

now all you are saying it's my fault you should be ip banned kys etc.

Now why is it their fault? i was on my first account just got done with my 14 day suspension, so one more strike and it's over, i went to riot support and asked can you **please please PERM chat ban **me so i won't get my account perm banned? it's the only way and it will help you out to since no one will have to listen to me being toxic, who the hell loses in this situation?

no one.

but they refused and wouldn't do it, why? I don't understand. Because you couldn't do something so simple I'm going to number 7, going for tyler1 lvls.

i know i'll still get downvoted but they still should of perm chat banned when i asked for it....

If you've gotten 6 account bans then the problem is you, not Riot. It is not Riot's job to babysit you 24/7. They provide you with the tools needed to help prevent toxicity, but it's up to you to use them when need be. Also, Riot did try permamutes once in the form of ever increasing chat restrictions, and what they found was that people with especially high amounts of chat restrictions would just switch to gameplay trolling instead (i.e. intentionally feeding/afking, intentionally taking other peoples roles/champions just to spite them, intentionally using abilities such as Anivias wall to trap teammates in with the enemies, etc.). It's because of that that Riot designed this new system of punishment, to get rid of the troublemakers faster.

Bottom line: It is your job to exhibit self-control and to use the tools necessary to help prevent/curb toxicity, not Riots. Even if they did give you what you wanted, there's no guarantee that you wouldn't just switch to gameplay trolling instead whenever you got mad at someone for not giving you your way. Either shape up or ship out: those are your only options at this point.

"Riot can you please give me self control?"

Mister Punches10/30/2016, 6:35:26 AM8 votes

You could just mute everyone in your game.

You could also just scream at your screen instead of taking time out of the game to degrade and berate someone online.

You could also just buy a $1.00 stress ball at the dollar store.

You can also just learn from your bans rather than evading it and continuing on and ruining other players' experiences.

The greatest common factor in your toxicity is not Riot, or League. The greatest common factor in your toxicity is you. Please don't try to mimic Tyler1, because he's the kind of player Riot explicitly stated that they don't want as part of their community.

It's not Riot's job to enforce your self control. You know you have the issue. Disable your own chat. Problem solved.

AeroWaffle10/29/2016, 10:23:04 PM7 votes

I mean, it's your time to waste. It doesn't take too much effort to ban you each time compared to the time and effort involved leveling up each account.

Controling yourself in chat requires a bare minimum of self-control. I garentee that if Riot were to chat ban you at your request, you would have just shown your anger in other ways in the game through trolling.

Anomander10/29/2016, 10:25:53 PM5 votes

Don't blame riot because your lack self control.

Riot did lots of research on behavior of players in the older system where people could for all intent and purpose be perma chat banned and found that they players were just toxic in other ways.

I would love to see a Ip ban on people who have had multiple accounts banned but Riot won't because it might punish a innocent person.

Bottom line you are responsible for your own actions and were aware of the rules. You chose to act this way. Stop blaming others for your actions.

Maybe you should stop playing. You won't be missed.

Perma-chat will never work.

Let me ask you this: Why do you have to be toxic to your teammates? Imho, I'm very sure it is just to:

  • attempting to piss off your teammates for their mistakes.
  • taunt unnecessarily.
  • just plain angry or having a bad day, & wanted to take it all out on your own teammates.

Now let's say you got perma-chat, and you think you're all safe now from being toxic to your teammates, aye? Well guess what? You're not.

Another game doesn't go your way, so you got frustrated all over again, and let's be real, no one is dumb enough to still continue using the chat system when no one's reading it. Yeah, you would think that throwing stuffs around or shouting at the computer screen may be ironically embarrassing & bad mannered, assuming you're living with your family or friends. So what do you do as a last resort:

#AFK or Intentionally Feed

You heard me, this is definitely what you would do to express your frustration. Any excuses you have in mind thinking my statement is dumb, keep reading the bolded text in my last paragraph.

How the fuck is it Riot's fault you can't NOT be toxic in chat?

Lol dude you can't control yourself? What? Why are you playing this game? How can you function in daily life? You have bigger problems than league, my friend.

I've been playing since beta, never been banned. Just be nice, and you won't be banned...

While you admit to being toxic, you need to realize that Riot's job is not to make exceptions, it's to make a game that is fun for those who don't spew vitriol

oSEXYPLATYPUSo10/29/2016, 10:26:34 PM2 votes

you dont need them to perm chat ban you from stopping you from being toxic... its kinda like a serial rapist saying if you castrate me i wont rape...

you are responsible for how you acted because you were the one to commits the things you did no one else... the over all issue is lack of maturity and lack of responsibility for ones own actions

chances are you are the one who gets mad and cussing at the cop who pulls you over for speeding doing 75mph in 60mph highway and point out that others were speeding too and and its not fair

Lean how to shut up without somebody else shutting you up.

Hellpyre10/30/2016, 3:03:40 PM2 votes

See, the key thing is that you make the decision to go into chat, even when you know you're being toxic. That's your decision. It's the same if you AFK - no one else is making you do it, you're just being extremely toxic and actively ruining the game for the other players. In as much as Riot should be helping, they've done that by banning you, several times. If that doesn't say to you "I should change my behavior," instead of "It's not my fault, I shouldn't be expected to act like an adult," you aren't wanted in the game, and you'll keep being banned by Riot.

FurriesAreHot10/31/2016, 12:08:35 PM1 votes

While your logic is twisted and insane, atleast you admit to being toxic. Best way to prevent toxicity: Mute all, listen to your favorite dank tunes, have a cup of your favorite fruit flavored beverage, and have a punching pillow nearby

Manaricelle10/31/2016, 6:34:42 AM1 votes

I love how toxic individuals always flaunt that they could be spending money in a game if they werent banned. Your little donation of cash here and there isnt gonna have Riot hurting when there are hundreds upon thousands of non toxic players more than happy to spend their money in their game AND create a better community by exercising self control and manners.

I will take "How to Foster a Great Community" for 500 Alex.

**BUT WAIT ! **

There is a point to this...

Why doesn't Riot just give an option in "Interrface" to turn off "All Chat" Including "YOUR OWN TEAM" You can't see anything or type anything to anyone.

lenny0010/31/2016, 1:55:18 AM1 votes

i dont think u should be getting banned for talking shit in an online video game. xbox didnt ban me when i called som1 shit in halo. the fun of multiplayer games is being better than the person you're playing against then calling them shit afterwards. i dont personally do this because riot likes to treat everyone like babies and would rather not have an account be banned. why cant i call the jayce i solo killed 4 times bad? why i cant i tell me teammate their bad for rushing in 1v5? im not personally assaulting them. im calling them bad at a video game. its not like im walking up to a teacher and saying "you're ass at teaching." no. im calling them bad in an online videogame.

now if i was saying the N word or saying homophobic terms that is verbal assault. but being passive aggressive or having a "negative attitude" can get me banned? cmon riot

I agree with you completely. If they had an option and you took the step of asking, it's on them.

Of course, it was already on them since they're soooo concerned with words in a box and not the ACTIONS of shit players and trolls who inspire them.
