I'm tired of people throwing games, okay?

Downvote me if you want, but im tired of this now.

I just played 3 ranked games and in all 3, my stats were fine, my team was doing good, and then someone decides they want to throw the game, so they afk / start feeding. Ofc they don't care if they get reported because they're smurfs. But it's annoying because this is my new account, and im in my first 10 ranked games, and im trying to get a good placement but I can't because of Game throwing. In all 3 games we were winning early, and in all 3, a lee sin (coincidence??) threw.

Like, what am i supposed to do?!? The end of the season's coming, and I just want a placement that I deserve to be put in. I don't want to be placed in bronze just because a Lee sin decided he didn't want to play anymore. It's just an immature act that riot need to do something about.

I've been getting a lot of this too lately. It's frustrating as heck. And as for me, I've had the misfortune of getting them mostly on my team this week, which has made any sort of climbing utterly impossible.

I'm guessing you're at most low gold?

Unfortunately, all the trolls come out around this time of year. Such is life.

I'm playing my placement games right now on my new account. half of my placement games so far have been because of trolls, and the other half have had feeders in them.

The worst part is that because the don't feed through the entire laning phase the system can't tell it apart from just having a bad game. It only takes one intentional death to ruin a game but they can go completely unpunished for their behavior because the system is automated and can't tell the difference from one death. I've tried to bring it up but riot doesn't care about this.

Tbh it's really hard to differentiate. It's not that Riot doesn't care... even if a rioter looked at some things themselves, they still wouldn't be able to tell if it's just a bad game or intentional. I had a 0/6/0 trundle top game where the ww thought I was intentionally feeding. I apologized a lot but no matter what I said the ww was convinced it was intentional. I'm glad riot didn't look at it and assume it was int. I think that's what happens a lot.. you think they're intentionally throwing and being slick trolls, but they probably just threw. That's not a punishable offense. It happens. Throws happen in bronze, all the way up to diamond and probably master and challenger. They aren't always intentional. But meh, some throws happened in your games so it must be intentional and it must be that riot just doesn't care.

They can go 12-1, but that 1 death was at 50 min because they walked into the enemy base, started dancing without attacking anything, and said gg in chat. Pretty clearly intentional stuff here. It isn't that they go 0-6-0 having a bad game pushing side waves and building tanky to try to help. Its when they take every kill and then decide they've had enough and do that kind of shit so they can stay in low elo where it's easy to get fed and they don't care about the outcome of the game.

But meh, some throws happened in my games so it must be that i took it personally. I imagined them dancing in the enemy base without attacking anything at all. Not at all intentional, whatever you say man. They were 12-1 they couldn't have intentionally fed, it's just not possible to detect that kind of behavior unless they do nothing but walk it down mid for 15 minutes.

The problem is a lot more nuanced than you give me credit for.

Then if riot know their system is broken, and have trouble finding a way to fix it, then why don't they just rework the whole damn system instead. You know it's broken, I know it's broken, riot know it's broken. Whatever rank you are, doesn't reflect your gameplay, rather how you do in solo queue. The only solution to this is to play duo queue, but even then, you're still only 1 / fifth of your team. You can only control so many lanes, that if your team loses, there may have been absolutely nothing you could have done in your power to avoid that loss. I think the ranked system should grade everyone differently, and base them off of their performances (Of course, winning = More LP). Much like the grading system you get after every game you play.

Yeah, but these people in my games literally said they were throwing. In one of my games, our jungler got mad that our lucian was 2/4 and completely said he was throwing, and he did. He didn't get a ban. In my next game, our jungler (different guy) afked at level 4. He didn't even come off with a leaver buster.

Fair enough. Shit like that is unacceptable and I don't know why riot wouldn't punish them immediately instead of waiting for em to do it again. Just no reason to intentionally throw like that.

And it's tragic too, because this one problem is literally ruining your whole system. I see bronze players that deserve to be in gold, and gold players that deserve to be in bronze on a daily basis. The ranked system is less about how you perform in games, and more about how lucky you are to being put into a good team.

Then don't play a team game. The sad part is, if you want an accurate placement in a game, you either need like 100+ games played, or just to play a solo game. Otherwise you're always at risk of the human factor.

Well the ranked system is messed up since it was made, but there's a difference between feeders (who can be carried), and people who completely let the team down and stop trying at all and ruin it for everyone.

The worst throwers are the ones who have scores like 24/2/0, decide they have enough kills and then start AFK farming, than the people who just start off 0/6/0 anyways. The first type of throwers give their teams so much hope and then throws it out the window.
