Mmr boosting question

Is it considered mmr boosting if a friend helps you out in series? As in they are on your account and play a couple of games to help you get back to where you were before .

I did this before i had ever heard of elo boosting, and my friend and i agreed on a system where he can mess around on my account if he helped me win my series (but never help me get to them)

Either way, this practice is over with, and we no longer have any contact to eachother, however, punishment for this (if it requires any) should be lenient due to my lack of knowledge of the practice.

Yes, it is boosting, no punishment shouldn't be lenient. When you sign up, you agree to their rules. Whether you actually look at them or not isn't Riot's problem, as you are expected to, and this is against those rules.

Yeah, anyone playing ranked games on someone else's account is boosting.

Your account is YOUR account no one else should be playing on it.

So why don't you ask your friend to teach you how he/she plays?
