Quick reminder to new (and frequent) Player Behavior users!

Hey everyone, Hotarµ here. Just wanted to take a second to remind anyone who visits Player Behavior that we have updated our guidelines (found right here!)

I see a lot of people violating these rules and it goes against the purpose of our board as a whole. We really don't want to become (or continue being) a place to pick on people who have been punished. Our goal is to help those who don't understand their punishments and to have open discussions about the punishment system itself. If you disagree with the OP or commenters in a thread but don't have anything purely constructive to say, please refrain from posting it. Making sarcastic remarks, leaving dismissive comments like "good riddance", and taking passive-aggressive jabs at people is no longer acceptable.

I'm not afraid to admit that I've done these things in the past and for that, I apologize. Everyone is subject to these rules including the moderation team and the specialists, and we all have to do our part to uphold the rules.

Hope y'all have a great Thursday! [poppy-wink]

Can we make comments like "holy chat logs batman" when we are explaining why they were punished if it was a particularly excessive amount of chat?

that has been this forum's identifying feature. Berating those who come here for clarity or a dispute, what else will the miserable kids of the internet do?

We all need to be aware of each other more and consider the rules when making threads and replying to them. It is good that you posted this as a reminder. I hope that more people will check the Universal Rules aswell as the individual highlighted guidelines for each sub-board so we can all become a better community :)

The mods themselves need to make sure these rules are followed, not fucking enforce the rules whenever the hell they feel like it

If Oxygen was only discovered in year 1772, how did people before that breathe? 0_o

Now I'd just like to see upvotes/downvotes removed from this board.

It was always perverse how kids, younger people or less matered people were passive aggresively trolled by the regular crew of 'good guys'

Almost as if player behavior board was a clinic on how to troll.

Imagine making fun of challenged person trying to do math. That level of callousness and lack of self awareness was illustrated countless times in player behavior section of boards.

There have been legit issues where Riot may or may not have done right by someone. No real conversation was allowed to be had. Those times were treated with the same dissmissive distain and unironic shitposting by a handful of regulars and specialists.

So considering that you explicitly frown upon and remove low effort responses, why do you allow low effort posts to be made in the first place? What is the point of someone posting "I've been suspended, let this be a lesson to you all"? There is nothing new learned, nothing to be gained, it is just low effort content that FLOODS that particular section of the boards, drowning out the actually valuable content. It's understandable that people get pissed at these kind of posts, considering that it really looks like just a pity party/cry for attention from the poster in question.
