Hello guys, i play LoL for 4 years now, and I have encountered a problem. Last season, i got to PLAT II rather easily, but this season, i got stuck on gold II and now on PLAT V. I lost so many games, which we could have easily won, because of my team (yes yes oldest excuse ever, but keep reading pls). Seriously, 3/4 games i lose is because someone rage quits or goes AFK because some BS, like once my ADC Vayne went afk because our sup picked Soraka -.- I always try to calm them or to help the lane that is losing, and i win a lot of games too, but i get only 16 points for win and lose 22 if i lose. My friend who played a lot of games with me,last season, said that he would help me (hes DIA II), so we played and ended around with the same amount of wins and losses, and he gave me 2 tips:

  1. roam more, I need to follow my lane if he leaves, ok i got that
  2. stop playing league because i have the worst luck with players someone can have, seriously he was surprised how the hell i can have so many bad players in my team, almost everygame someone left or tried to lose on purpose, and the last game we played we had a 5 game losing streak and he left the game because he got flamed for not ganking (5th minute -.-) Anyway, im trying my hardest to climb, and i would aprreciate any tips you can give me. (I main Yasuo/Ahri and play 2/3 games a day)

Player Behavior is more for questions about punishments or how the Player Behavior systems work. I would post this topic in gameplay.

But, since you're here: There are many ways other people use to help themselves climb. Some focus on improving themselves every game, and let the wins or losses happen as they will. Some people take a break from ranked for a day or two to unwind. Some people take breaks from League. Some people watch their replays with a notebook and study/think about their decision making processes when they notice mistakes.

Mute is your friend, sometimes. In the same sentence where you notice that there are leavers in almost every game, you say that your friend left game from being flamed. If you read the PB board you see that people are punished, so if you can calmly mute and report, then you have more chances to win games.

Yasuo and Ahri are a lot of fun to play. I don't want to discourage you from playing who you want, but trying a different style of champion for a bit could help freshen your perspective on when and where their relative power spikes occur.

To be fair, if more people are raging and quitting, then statistically, it's happening to the other side just as much.
