Riot you do a great job banning toxic players based on chat but what about those who never type

Plenty of trolls in game that never type shit but play like shit on purpose and do things in game with the purpose of triggering the team into toxicity, I never see a post or anything that suggests these players are getting banned.

Just a while ago I had a game where this mundo constantly ulted when he was walking down in jungle and just standing there trying to get a trigger in one of us. Of course nobody triggered because it was obvious but we lost the game anyways so he DID get hes way.

The problem with gameplay offenses is

Riot is trying to avoid as many false positives as possible. Meaning it takes a bit longer to confirm cases of trolling unless it's super obvious
A bunch of people report someone for trolling when they're really just having a bad game. Clogs up the system a bit. (Not 100% sure on this one but think I saw a Rioter mention it. Will check when I get to my computer later)

You should be able to access the replay, remove the client info (names/etc) and post the video to prove this then.

I have been playing this game for over 8 years and I can tell when a player plays bad on purpose.

One clue is that they only walk around in lane not trying to last hit or kill the enemy and/or pushing lane even if he knows a gank is coming and doing so over and over again untll he has 5/6 deaths.

This mundo died against jax 5 times getting solo killed and ganked but he never seemed to fix hes game by warding or stop pushing.

He also ulted in front of somebody just to get a trigger, we knew he was trolling so nobody triggered at hes random ults.

He was 100% trying to get a trigger and would later transform the troll into a victim so I can get reported by him and the enemy team.

After game I go to hes profile and hes a gold 4 player, maybe if he was a bronze player that doesnt know how to play the game I could think he is actualy that bad to be killed 5 times in lane and not do anything about it but a gold 4? hmmm

And I got tons more proof that game and no Im not going to take my time to get video pics and other evidence because I actualy have little free time to play this fucking game, Im sure there are people dedicated and paid to do that kind of investigations.

That's like saying "I've been a doctor for 20 years, I can tell what bacteria someone is infected with just by looking at them". It's not true. The best doctors who've been practicing 20+ years still do cultures. Because you can't know.

You're saying you have proof, but all you have proof of is that this player was playing bad. You think they were doing it intentionally. You're thinking that to justify your anger at them.

Except there's hundreds of thousands of games per day. It's simply not possible to hire enough people to get through all of them without a backlog building up. And even if they do get punished most of the time you don't get a notification for it.

so.. you have time to make this post and all, but did you send a ticket to riot? so the people who as you say are actually paid to do investigations can actually investigate the case?

if you are relying solely on your int feeding report to get the attention of an actual human you are sorely mistaken because people report for int feeding falsely all the time. if you want these players banned send a ticket to riot with the match history link

Riot has claimed before that they are working on improving their systems ability to detect trolling/inting, but I don't see how an automated system could ever tell. There hasn't been any noticeable improvement in their system since it has launched when it comes to non-chat related offenses.

The reality is people who int/troll in non obvious ways are almost never banned, despite what this board would like you to believe.

The best way to solve this to start punishing people who abuse the report system just as hard as the thing they're trying to report for (constantly report people for "troll" when they go 2/4, that kind of stuff) and to then start filtering out the players that actually show suspicious behavoir. Riot can see if you've been walking around fountain the entire game to avoid leaverbuster, i fail to understand why they can't use heatmaps or pathingmaps to find out if a player has been doing certain actions over and over again to sabotage the game

I just got permabanned because I flamed in chat a guy on our team that went 0/15 on Heimerdinger after not even 20 minutes. He was costantly trolling, using zhonya and summoners for no reason, suiciding against the enemy team but in a smart way. It is true, I have been playing for a while in silver/gold and Riot Support just looks at chat logs. They don't give a flying fuck of what happens inside the game. Literally, one game out of three, there is someone who deliberately acts this way, just for the fun to get people raging at them. And you know the saddest part? The one that will get punished is gonna always be the ones that rage at them in chat. This is the main reason why this game is so toxic and this is the main reason why the game is gonna slowly die. You can be allowed to do literally ANYTHING in the game, as long as you don't flame in chat. I have been playing LoL for more than 6 years. My only suspensions have been a couple of chat restrictions and a 2 week ban always for flaming trolls / hard inters in game.

Of course, the fact that I never spent money in the game had a big weight as well, I suppose (before someone starts complaining about this, I have been working in Customer Support for f2p games for quite a while, I know that this is exactly what happens when support receives a ticket. First thing to check is how much money they spent ingame).

I am not even mad at the permaban. I will invest my time in somethign more productive than flaming at frustrated people. It is just sad to see how horrible is the support of a company that has always been highlighting how much they care about their player base.

Permabans usually happen because of repeated chat/gameplay offenses that are very obvious. I literally had a friend say 'Let's all have a good time!' to then die over and over and start cursing out the enemy team to the point they go suspended for days because they can't handle not typing out essays against those relatively better/stronger picks/players. It's not that the system is all that flawed, it's working, but some people trigger it constantly which kinda devalues the report worth (read somewhere that higher honor players have slightly more weight when it comes to reports? don't quote me on this.), and then complain the system is busted, to avoid them spamming reports over petty things.

And the thing is, really flaming someone doesn't solve any kind of issue, they're just there to piss you off in any way possible, if they remotely cared about you/your match they wouldn't be doing what they're doing. So really only getting a rise out of it can get you screwed instead of them, because as far as the system can tell, you're the one typing out constant flaming statements while the troll might either stay quiet or act positive.

But yeah, a break from the game is relatively important, I had to force myself into it once it got a little out of hand, to avoid tilting (I hardly ever do and don't plan to start now/soon). It's just in an unhealthy state of affairs and I rather play a game that isn't so met dependent /toxic (like Warframe, osu!, etc)

Something similar happened to me in an ARAM. I was playing with a friend and the random Sona in out team gave first blood. We didn't flame her but she called our team "slow" for not saving her. After, the Kaisa on our team said that she was the slow one and pinged her flash. After that, Sona randomly burns her summoner 13 summoner 4 and randomly ults. No one even flamed her for doing that and she didn't type that much but these type of players really ruin the game. The game was winnable too. [slayer-jinx-unamused]
