Calling for reports....
Should be reported as unsports or harassment?
RIOTer's only please. Unless you can link their post.

It doesn't matter what you report it for as an automated system is used that will scan the chatlogs anyway.

Isn't that more reason to be accurate? Or are you saying the report (regardless of what box I check) will issue a scan and if the scans positive then it flags it? Honestly, I don't know what the hell the system does and I'd like someone who does to let me know. If it doesn't matter, fine. But if it does... would like to know. Reason being is our reports get less and less valid if we're not accurate. If I check unsports each time and it should be harassment and when it searches for unsports it doesn't count the report... well maybe I'm overthinking it but would like a real answer.
Any of the reports you select will cause the system to scan the chatlog.
As far as it being "accurate", well its pretty irrelevant. Its one of the reasons why the automated system will ban people so quickly and often for chat, any report option will scan the logs. Trolling/feeding isn't something the system can detect easily.

You know this how?
I'm very familiar with Riot's punishment system.

LOL
Hey, its true! Haha.
(Quote from comment above): "To address point one of the OP - Calling for others to report a player is a punishable offense. It is a form of bullying and as such is against the summoner code. It should always be a personal decision for each player as to whether or not they feel another player warrants a report." - Riot Husker
Hope this clears stuff up in terms of Riot's viewpoint of the issue! :)

Not really. Doesn't answer anything about what it should be reported as. I get the "it's all recorded and all counts" but does that mean which box we check doesn't matter? I assume it would. But maybe I'm wasting my time for picking one of the boxes they give us instead of just poking a random one and moving on.
Well, it would be considered harassment and bullying according to the posts I linked. :)
"It is a form of bullying and as such is against the summoner code."
"In fact, do feel free to tell your team mates that "report calling" in itself counts as harassment."
If you report the person in the wrong checkbox, and it is seen as an invalid report due to being irrelevant to what they really did, your reports in the future will not be calculated as valuable as proper and valid reports will.
"To give you brief glimpse into what one experiment is testing, first, we have to understand that the Reporting system is different than the Tribunal system. The Reporting system's sole job is to calculate a player's report accuracy, and a lot of fancy math has gone into the system to make sure that a report is only taken into account when it is accurate. So, if a player is a consistently negative player themselves, their reports might be worth less because the system may consider them a bad judge of others' behaviors. If a player troll reports and gets their 3 friends to troll report, the system will completely toss the reports out. All of the experiments that use reports benefit from the above system to make sure that players aren't able to just abuse someone with random reports."
This is from Ulanopo's Knowledgebase, an Arbiter for the forums. which completely correctly describes what the report system is like.

Wow that's a great link.
Thanks for the info.

Why downvote? LOL
Still would like to know how to classify it. If either or both (or any box at all) is fine and the system would just figure it out that's fine too. Just curious as I'd like the report to be accurate.
Just check both. Boom solved
