"It's just normals"

So if memory serves comments like ggez and the like, as well as of course homophobic, racist, or basically any comment insulting a group are not ok by any means. While obviously not at the same level and we please add the tired old "it's normal so (insert behavior they think is somehow better in normals)". Like I play exclusively normals, and I'm really tired of say people feeding their ass off and then ignoring any request to not 1v5 by saying "dude it's normals" or raging when you don't wanna ff by saying "just ff it's normals, it doesn't matter". League of Legends is a game, first and foremost, and the majority of us are playing it to have a good time. So I don't care if it's ranked or normals, because I have committed 20-40+ minutes of my time to 9 other people and I want to enjoy that time, otherwise I wouldn't be playing. So personally I'd love to see this tired reasoning become reportable, because it's just a dick move to try and justify your bad actions because you aren't playing ranked. At the very least I hope anyone who reads this that uses this remark will think twice next time they feel inclined to.

I’ll play 100% to my ability, but at the end of the day, a loss in normals isn’t going to mean as much to me as a loss in ranked.

Normals lets me try out weird shit, like support Urgot or ADC Bard. But if I’m gonna get raged at or some Normals Tryhard Hero, fresh off his personal delusion he is the main character in everyone’s league match, wants to monologue @ me about everything I’m doing “wrong” in unranked league I’m going to say to them: “it’s just normals”

Cause that’s what it is. The game mode I can have fun in without worrying about my LP. Still going to try and win, but I don’t need some dude named ShinobiSephiroth or XxYasuoMaynxX getting in my shit.

Nothing you can do about people with horrible attitudes like that except play it out and report them for that attitude at the end of the game. They will make a ton of excuses but in the end they are too ignorant to understand what you pointed out and that's the fact that you are committing your time to 9 other people. These type of people think of themselves first and always. I just wish the punishment was more severe for these players who show the apathy they have by making that pathetic statement. Tells you alot about the individual making it.

I don't think that's a great idea as that's just too wide of a punishment. Personally, I always try my best but I also try out new strategies, champions, builds, jg paths, etc... in normals before taking them to rank. I've said in the past something along the lines of "Trying this in normals" "first time ____" so on and so forth.

You're obviously allowed to play exclusively normals and people obviously should not "feed their asses off," but you cannot hold them to the same expectations and standard as a ranked match.

Guess I'll practice my new champs in ranked and say "Lol it's just ranked"

To be honest I've never seen someone religiously fight 1v5 and say "just norms lol".

I use the term a lil bit, typically only when a Jayce top lane is ?-ing me after I die to some roam due to missing an MIA.

Can't say I don't feel bad for you if you get an AD off-tank Soraka top lane though; must suck.

Much respect for this post. I hate when people don't know how to play their roles either. Jungles who do nothing but stay in jungle. Tops that refuse to tank or be an engage. Sorry but Xeraph top is not a good top. I main support and secondary Jungle but can play other lanes if need be and I do it and play my role. But it is tiresome to have to tank as a support because no one else wants to. I think a minute should be given in draft to talk to teammates about team comp or something. I hate it when you win bot lane start pushing other lanes and still have all your turrets. But the 0/9 sivir comes back and owns everyone because there's no tank or front line. Top laners mid and etc have never played their roles. Jungles usually do. Maybe some champions should be locked from picking as top or mid. I'd honestly hate such a feature. But the community really blows sometimes. I just need to put together a team or something.
