Unjustified LPQ

So, my net just crashed in the middle of a game. I was doing well and I got put in an LPQ for it. Now, I honestly haven't played a game in a week, and I find this LPQ to be complete bullshit. You can take a look at my match history and show me the last time you see a "leave" in any of my games. Normally, I'd gladly serve these LPQs since when I tilt, I tend to leave the game quite often.

However, this is the first game I "left" in a freaking month. Can I seriously not serve this LPQ?

My suggestion:

Test your internet in some custom matches.
Determine if it's your computer or your internet. . If computer; head over to the H&S Board for assistance. . If internet, head over there anyhow and ask for advice.
Stop leaving matches when you get frustrated. It's one of the worst things you can do.

Did you leave the game? Yes. Is it Riots fault? No. Is it your fault? Could be depending on your setup. Is it your ISPs fault? Could be.

The point is, you left the game and riot has no way of knowing if you just went on a tilt alt+F4 style, or if your connection gave out. Serve the punishment and take care of your connection.

I have no idea when my net's gonna drop. It's random and doesn't happen very often.

Well if you can't predict it and can't fix it, from time to time you gotta deal with the consequences and LPQ. As i said, Riot can't know why you left.

No one can predict or fix when your power is gonna go out(unless it's an announced city wide power outage for good reason), your ISP randomly faces a problem and your area's net drops etc. My net doesn't drop often enough for me to be concerned about it, however, when it does, it's super frustrating.

So why is it unjustified then. Riot doesn't have that information either. All they know is you left. I'm sure it's frustrating and it feels really bad, but that's how it works.

My point was on getting the LPQ for one leave in the last 50+ games that I played. To top it off, it's already at 20minutes. If it was 5 or 10minutes, it wouldn't be such a huge problem. 20 minutes is a lot of time. In the last 150 games I've played, I'm certain I've left around 2 times only.

Well either you're wrong, you're not being 100% honest, or it's a mistake on Riots part.

If it really is as you say, 2 games in 150, you should contact support. They are the only ones that can give you a definitive answer.

Just remember. Ask nicely and provide them with any information they need.

The leavebuster tends to base the punishments based off of the number of games since the last time you left/afk'ed/dc'ed, not the amount of time.

Normally, I'd gladly serve these LPQs since when I tilt, I tend to leave the game quite often.

You past standing with the system could have also influenced how touchy the system was.

It's been 40-50+ games since my last left game. I tend to go afk once or twice out of every 100 games -- whether intentional or my net just randomly dropping.

The idea of of the system is to allow leeway for unintentional leaves. If you spend that leeway by intentionally leaving, it's still going to throw a punishment at your face for unintentional leaves once you cross that threshold.

To add onto this, think of it this way: say you have 3 weeks of sick leave every 2 months. If you use them all up on vacations then you won't have any left to use for when you actually get sick.

It takes alot more than a couple of games here and there to drop a punishment tier for leaver buster.

It's been 50+ games since I last left a game. That's nowhere near a couple of games "here and there".

yea, 50 games isn't a whole lot for the leaver buster system.

especially you are at 20 min LPQ, which is the harshest penalty for leaver buster.

Try 300 games or so for it to drop back down to 10 min LPQs.

you leave when you get tilted
you leave once a month and think it's ok
you have inet that goes down on a rather constant basis

Now imagine you having at least 2 afk'ers in your team, per month. Lemme guess, you're ok with that? BS. Plus the normal rate is way way higher, but even 2 per month sux balls imo. And you are helping this game suck balls for other people. And you expect no punishment, when you have lots of priors.

I hope your lunch catches on summoner 14 in the microwave. (just so you have an actual OMG my house is on fire excuse to afk)

I never said my internet goes down on a consistent basis. I don't leave games once a month. I have more than 2 afkers a month on my team already and some games that I leave already has 1 or 2 afkers in it.

I'll accept my punishments for leaving. On a side note, if a game is going to make me super frustrated, I rather leave than sit down and be miserable playing it. That ruins the ENTIRE point of trying to play the game.

Sorry, you said it's random but that means it happened before and you know you're prone to have such d/cs already. Which means you can't afford to intentionally afk.

OK you don't leave games once a month. You tilt and leave 'quite often', and stress the fact that you did not leave a game in a month now, which sounds like a big record for you. To me it means you usually leave the game more often than that. AKA more than once a month.

I don't agree with the system, I complain about afkers a lot, but I try to obey the rules, and so should you. Perhaps learn how to deal with tilt, I know I need to. But I don't just leave my team, because I've been afked on and it sux. We have a saying, 'what you do not like, do not do to others'. In English being 'do as you would be done by'. If someone does go afk before you do, imagine them reconnecting (it happens, perhaps they put out that microwave fire) to find that YOU're not in the game to make the comeback real. You're just adding to an already big issue.

Glad to hear you accepted the punishment, and please don't try to ruin the game for other people.
