Intentional Feeders & Punishment

I just played a game where in champ select, someone had selected Evelynn, and someone else banned her, not bothering to check that someone on our team wanted to play her.

Well, that player decided to go completely overboard, and pick 'disco nunu', and run down mid and fed all game. It's been years since I last had someone who actually did this, and it caused most of the team to afk in fountain since he started feeding immediately before minions spawned.

I thought a simple report wasn't effective enough, and I do not want this person ruining more games for people, so I sent an email with a screenshot to the support desk.

It's really been awhile since I saw someone who just blatantly fed like this and wanted to see if you guys have had experience with ppl like this recently, and what you did about it.

Hey, you should send these information and screenshot to support. They'll help you in the General Questions section and hopefully players like these get banned. It's horrible to see many of these kinds of players who intentionally feed get away with it.

I can put up with a lot in my games; abuse, trolling, death threats, whatever - those are all fixed with muting. When someone does this though, ESPECIALLY in a ranked, they should lose their ability to ever play ranked again on that account.

It happens a lot in ranked and those types of people who do that because of stupid reasons like someone banned their main so they are just going to troll and feed the entire game is just pathetic. They need to get RKO'd in real life.

A single report is all it takes. Just clearly state in the report message what this person was doing and what happened after the game. Trust me when I say it only takes one report to flag an account for review with the instant feedback system, so there's never any reason to rally for reports or feel like one isn't enough.

If you want to take this complaint further I highly suggest submitting a support ticket. Posting screenshots on the boards doesn't help, and is instead seen more as "shaming" (though no one likes blatant feeders :P but good job on blocking out the names. Would have gotten this post removed if you left them in! )

If you've already sent a support ticket then you'll need to be patient. It takes a few hours to a few days for them to respond, and sometimes in cases like this they may not feel the need to respond since you're just reporting a player for griefing.

But good luck. Mostly a report is all you can do, but the more information you can give in the report, the better. So never be afraid to type up why someone was trolling/feeding/etc!

Thanks for the info. I thought the screenshot would help to really drive the point home, since the offender actually was stupid enough to first acknowledge that he was feeding, and then tried to defend his actions by blaming someone else. In my opinion, this is the absolute worst thing you can possibly do in this game, and it should lead to an automatic ban, 100% of the time. It's been years since I met someone in a game who did this.

I've maybe sent 3 emails to Riot about players like this in all the time I've played this game, including this one. In my experience, it's more impactful than a report, because nothing would make my heart sink more than to see this guy playing and chugging along with no punishment, a few weeks later after doing something like this. Sending the email forces a real live person to review the case, rather than taking the chance it will get somehow filtered in the automatic system.

No problem! Do keep in mind players don't get punished for one time instances unless it was a very extreme case of violating the Summoner's Code/ToS. It's the repeated offenders that get punished/banned. But I can't stress enough about how important it is to give as many details as possible in the report when making it. The more you can describe and tell them what to get (post/pregame chat,etc), then the easier it is for the system and Riot to accurately asses the situation.

Chances are a few of the ones you reported before might have been first time offenders, and then never did those behaviors again hence why they are still playing. Don't let that discourage you at all! For all we know that player could have reformed after being reported, and is instead trying to be a positive part of the community :) Just focus on yourself and report when needed. Trust me when I say Riot does punish those that need it, while still allowing players a chance to reform that truly do want to change.

I do agree excessive feeding should be punished, but again, there are systems in place to prevent abuse as well as allow people to make mistakes. We're only human so we're all bound to have a bad day at some point :)

Also, the screenshot does help, but that would more so be in the Support ticket rather than the boards. Like I said before the boards can't really help get this player reported. All we can do is give suggestions.
