Punishment, yes. You spammed, and it is likely not the first time. The severity of the punishment is not just related to the severity of the offense, but also the frequency of your punishments. If I were to guess, you got a 14 day recently enough, which would make this a permanent.

So I'm going to recommend a Support Ticket here.

It looks from your match history like you legitimately were playing the game (your scores aren't great, but they're not awful, assuming it was your last Braum game), and there isn't really a strict rule against behavior like this. I know I personally would just be entertained by this sort of behavior.

Now, if people were asking you to stop and you weren't, then it might start to become spam and punishable even in my eyes. Same if you were typing during fights or inopportune times, or if you had received previous punishments for this sort of behavior.

You did nothing wrong. This game and community is bitch. Riot with its Riot Jin Un ragime. They want you to play their game a certain way, with out no creativity, its not even fun shit anymore. Who the fk cares they can just easily press mute. You are having fun playing a game and playing a character role. This Bull shit RIOT along with its pussy community is exactly normal person. They just pray on suckers that are new to start spending money in game. Hardly anyone i know plays league and sticks with it cause the community is so weird. If Salem trials were todays thing, This community would be the one to burn those girls alive claiming witches. Sad and pathetic as this community is there are far more better games out there, where you can just play and have fun without worrying about their teammates reporting you for stupid shit cause they cant handle real life and just want to report to feel better in hopes of you getting banned. IF you feel addicted dont spend a dime on anything in game. Technically you never own it, and considering how often they RIOT crew hands out perma bans just shows you the ego these admins have.

I've stuck with League for about four years now. I know you don't know me, but that doesn't make what I say any worse or less valid.

The community isn't weird - if anything, players would likely be driven away by the community being toxic (although Riot has been steadily working to get rid of the toxicity), not by weirdness.

Also; Riot doesn't hand out permabans like it's free candy. If they did, I likely would've been permabanned long, long ago. If someone gets a permaban, odds are high that they deserved it.

I'd be inclined to disagree. They spammed the chat with song lyrics, which I'm willing to bet detracted from the game - not only for the person doing the spamming, but for the people actually playing and having to deal with it.

True - but they can just as easily press "report" and make sure future players don't have to press mute. Not everybody appreciates jokes taken that far in League, and even I'd personally report him after the fifth line of lyrics.

There's a time and place for everything - and the chat pane in League in the middle of a match is neither the appropriate time nor the appropriate place to drag such a joke out.
