Personally, I've never really liked that Riot bans players for what they say in-game. I don't like the idea that if someone gets offended, the entire world stops for them and caters to their needs; the same thing is wrong with giving everyone a trophy. Anyway, these, permanent chat bans, would still cater to the sensitive while allowing "toxic" players to still play a game that they enjoy. At the end of the day "toxic" players are still players.
Toxic players aren't wanted by Riot. End of story.

I've seen players leave the game because someone treated them poorly (for not being a master at the game, for making a mistake...)
Would Riot rather keep toxic players around that drive off other players (other customers), or get rid of a handful of toxic players themselves?
If a restaurant has one patron that spends 1000$ every week but drives off 3000$ in sales, guess who's getting the attention.
I spent long time trying to help people understand why this isn't a good idea last night.
These kiddos won't ever get it. They can't comprehend simple logic and are blindly trying to get their perma banned accounts back.
I'd preferred Riot banning 80% of their Community for being toxic, than having a company filled with nothing but negativity by toxic players.
So permanent chat ban? No. Don't wanna behave? Then get out of here, this game isn't for you.
It's not possible to be toxic when your account is permanently chat banned. The overwhelming majority of responses say this is a bad idea, and I need to know how. This is literally a win; win situation. Doesn't this go to show that you white knights are just as bad as the toxic players, wanting to ruin someone's experience of a game they love?
