Why do people act like they're breaking up with you when they don't want to duo que any more?

People always say stuff like breakups i.e. "We're not partners anymore" or "I'm tired of keeping you afloat" what are some of your funniest duo que breakups?

I cant relate I have no league friends only 1 person that Ill sometimes play with but I just prefer to play alone as I only play rank.

Because duo/party queue on league does exactly just that, makes friends cuss each other out. Even IRL. I've witnessed many of my friends raging and screaming at each other for mistakes being done. The game is not healthy at all for friends.

I always prefer playing it alone. Lol.

Can't say I've had any " breakups".. I do however have a funny duo who stopped playing but 2 years ago me and this rando won 20games strait ranked, lost one normals practicing. Almost every time we got on we were bashing each others champion for the heck of it.

Because of the amount of trust and teamwork you presumably had between you that is hard to come by, as ranked is filled with randoms who play for fun with only a superficial will to win.

When you duo with someone it is because you put your faith in their abilities and hope they put theirs in yours.

I had a great duo once, was really how I started doing Sona top seriously. Theyd pick Shaco, I'd under push to make the ganks easy all game, and we went from S5 to S1. Then the magic just stopped; communication failed, the usual ganks stopped, and losses began happening. Was basically like playing with a whole different person, and I just had to cut them loose sadly. :/

Because this community is full of overly dramatic, spineless jellyfish of human beings. I've never been in a community that is so paranoid about offending someone that they spend more time trying to cover all their bases rather than just saying what they need to say. "Look, I know that most people aren't like this, and I'm not trying to be negative or anything but, okay so like even though I know that it's all on me really, sometimes it's really hard to deal with..... but again I'm not saying.... and I mean this, and please don't yell at me"

This community is so hyper-vigilant against being called "toxic" or being called "offensive" that they do things like treat you like they're ending a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with you when they don't want to duo with you anymore.

"Look anon... it's not you, it's me... I've been unfaithful to you... I've been playing around behind your back with other anon... and.. well... he just understands my style so much better... but you'll find someone who gets your style too one day... I love you anon... I'm sorry"

Big honkin' lame.

It's kind of weird, but I understand what you're getting at. I don't think I've ever duo'd with someone that much before though, as while the occassional duo is fun, it doesn't make me feel as good as winning games on my own. The closest I've had to this is a long while ago when I was a lot newer to the game, I actually cared about ranked at the time but I was new and a bronize. I duo'd with my friend and during this duo streak I finally made silver. My friend however was still bronze 1, and 1 win away from his first time being silver as well. So, we're in this intense game, and of course this is one of those even games that goes FOREVER and is decided by which team messes up first. Well, the team goes for a call, I HEAVILY disagree with said call because it was an absolutely terrible idea. I decide that even if I did go it wouldn't make a difference, so I take a tower instead. Now I knew it would go wrong, I knew me being there wouldn't even help, and I told my friend in VC that too. Well turns out, I was right, and we got wiped. Of course, I got blamed for not being there and we lost. My friend stopped duoing and also stopped playing ranked at that point xD. Which to be fair, I haven't played a lot of ranked since I got silver either so idk. I think this was like season 5 or something but yeah fun times.
