Prevent Bans On Selected Champs

ZeMyThoLoGy··7 votes·1,861 views

Ok, we need to prevent teammates from banning a champion you selected. Too many times people ban the champions others want saying they don't want them to feed or to play that champion. Like if I feel like playing a champion, fuck off and let me play it. No one should have the right to ban a champion a teammate wants to play just because they don't want them to play it. It's really tilting and starts off the match on the wrong foot.

I don't understand all these trolls. Banning a champion a teammate has preselected is a dick move. It puts the players on edge. It's tilting and can be really frustrating for the player to be forced to choose another champion he might not feel like playing. There is really no reasonable explanation to be able to ban a champion a teammate has preselected.

When you play ranked, you play your best champs for the role you have gotten, you don't want other players to interfere with that.

Go play blind pick if you are going to get upset over bans.

This is the type of player that makes league so fun.

You must realize that just as you have the ability to override your teams wishes and play champions they don't want, they had the ability to override your wish and prevent one champion from being selected.

There are many viable reasons that champions are banned after being hovered. Most of them had nothing to do with you, such as pick order, risk of other team getting them, not going with team comp well, etc.

You trolling and threatening to report makes the game so much fun. All because someone banned 1 champion out of 100+ options.

I'm sorry I'm not one of those people that will coddle you. The truth is you are selfish as fuck and refuse to consider the other 4 people on your team.

I'm gonna stop wasting my time with you. Anyone else? Smarter please.

I replied to you. You seem to have conveniently ignored that.

You sound like you think you're the boss. Last I checked, Riot did away with the "team captain" role quite a while ago. You're not the boss, you don't get to say what your team can play/ban.

"Sure I fed my ass off going 0/26 as first time Kayn in ranked, but he wasn't banned so we had fun xDDDD"

Usually I only ban my teammates' champion pick if they're really new to him, or just a Yasuo or Kayn. I never believe a Yasuo or Kayn in my own team would even carry the game at all. Other than that, it's also to ban off stupid shit like Sivir Jungle & such.

You can't judge a player based on your own experience. It's not because most people for example suck at yasuo, that you're likely to have a teammate that also sucks at him. Match history can sometimes prove that the player really can do good games. Instead of going against a teammate at the start of a match, why not ask, and adapt to their choices (if you can). Honestly, there is nothing more annoying than being judged before the game even starts. I do understand your point, but try to get mine.

There are 5 people on a team. You are 1 of them. That leaves 4 other people.

Your job as a team mate, is to pick considering the other 4 people.

When you "blind pick/insta lock" a champion, it is literally impossible to be considering the other 4 people on your team.

You are allowed to have preferences. It is when you are inconsiderate of the other people on your team that it becomes a problem.

Logically speaking, bans are different than picks. A ban happens before you have adequate information on team composition. Therefore, bans are more personal in a stranger environment and more strategical in an organized team environment. (Ban whatever you want in solo que. Ban according to an established team strategy in ranked 5's.)

While it is a dick move to ban someone's hover for whatever reason, if I feel like I don't want to play with or against a champion, fuck off and let me ban it. You have your ban and I have mine. I don't give you any grief about who you banned. You should fuck off and not give me any grief about who I banned.

Yes but if i ban your champion, you'd be annoyed, why the fuck would you ban a teammate's champion?

No one doubting it is a dick move to do that. However, I do not like the idea of it being restricted.

Being unable to ban an ally's hover would result in a far worse situation. People would select Support/Fill for fast queue times, then hover the OP pick of the patch (Zac anyone?) and blackmail the lobby to trade roles or let the enemy team pick the champion then troll in game.

No, it's best to be able to ban hovers regardless.

I don't know why people let it tilt them so much when it happens. It's not that different from enemies banning the champion, you respond the same way in either case.

Nope, im not having kayn support or mid. Sure they will threaten to feed and troll when I ban kayn, but sometimes they dont follow through with the threats. And if they do more chance of them raging in chat and getting banned.

I often ban yasou and riven just to protect the team and if someone else bans my main i pick another main ... big fcking deal

No thanks, I'd rather ban the highly contested FOTM champ my last pick wants to play for the first time in ranked.
