For those who wonder how long it takes to climb honor levels.

I was banned for intentionally feeding two weeks ago and was unbanned just today. This of course has landed me at honor level 0, locked honor. So every time i Progress somewhat, ex, my honor unlocks, I go up a checkpoint or honor level, I will reply here with how long it had been since the last one. Hopefully those players who have been punished or who are simply curious can venture to this post and learn something about the system.

Date started: June 3rd, 2019, 12:20 pm GMT. Honor level 0, locked.

June 15th, 15:55 pm GMT. Honor level finally unlocked. Time taken: 12 days, 3 hours and 40 minutes. (Keep in mind it was a ban for intentional feeding. so a punishment for chat related offenses might not take as long.)

If you’re going to post updates like that, you should include how many games you’ve played as well as the amount of time since your last checkpoint. For science.

Last year i got 14 day ban in March and from locked honor 0 i went to honor 2 from March 24 to late August-early September- Aproximately i played 200 Arams, 100 normals, 100 Ranked and 150 into bots in SR. So ARAM took me on avearge 15-20 mins to finish, 10-13 min on average vs bots and normals/ranked took me 30-40 mins to finish. I ended last season honor 2 3/3 checkpoints ( when i was banned i was honor 3 1/3). Aproximately that much games it will take you +-150.

I got angry because someone banned my champ. I know it's petty and childish and I do regret what I did. I didn't really even "int", only going 0/5, the ban was for "behavior like trolling, griefing, and intentionally feeding".

For future reference, any amount of intentional deaths to the enemy team counts as intentional feeding. You can go 0/1, and if that 1 death was unambiguously intentional, you may get banned.

In practice, a single death will virtually never be punished, because such a death could also be easily explained by a lag spike, disconnection, real-life distraction, etc. and it requires at least several clearly intentional deaths for the algorithm to establish intent. Regardless of whether you're likely to be banned for it, though, any amount of intentional deaths to the enemy team constitutes "inting."

Yeah, you're right, I worded it poorly; I meant I didn't "int" as in I didn't have a k/d that screamed "intentional feeder". I also took cleanse and smite, so i'm assuming a Rioter either looked into the replay, or looked at my summoner spells and determined i was trolling. Either way it's great that they bother :).

Might as well put a date on these post, otherwise everything will just show up as "2 months ago" or something like that, even though there was 2 weeks difference between each checkpoint.

Your post is not that relevant to player behavior. Yes, you inted, but the post is about honor progression. That is not this forum.

It is very much relevant considering PB has quite a lot of threads asking about honor progression and how long it takes to move up a honor level. This thread (assuming OP makes good on posting updates) is a lot more useful than the inane "suggestions" threads that have been made and discussed to death hundreds of times.

I disagree, honor progression is very relevant, considering the amount of posts I see on this board every day asking how long it will take to reach X honor level.

Generally people on this board have a strong dislike of anyone who received any punishment at all, and will downvote any post by someone mentioning that they were banned/chat restricted.

It's for that reason that I support removing upvotes/downvotes from this board, as it only serves to detract from this board's purpose.

Yeah, I thought that might be the reason. I'm not entirely sure why, as some people, especially people like me with ill tempers, can have bad days in which they let their team get the worst of. It's no excuse of course, but it's not always necessarily ill intent.

But just a heads up; theres a LOT of behind the scenes factors that plays into whether or not you actually go up in honor, such as negative behavior that is too light to punish but too significant to reward.

Can probably get to honor 1 or 2 in a few weeks of consistent playing, assuming you do nothing that would strike as being bad but not punishable.
