why do first time ranked players get matched with veterans?

its seriously annoying, they all just hit level 30 in like what, 80 games? and then think they're ready for ranked. yes i did just get out of a game with one and thats why I'm writing this. why don't all first time rankers get matched with other first time rankers? you're seriously saying a first time ranker no runes warlords blitzcrank who doesn't buy pots or a support item is my skill level? thats insulting. AND THE WORST PART IS... THEY THINK THEYRE FUCKING GOOD! like i hate to sound like a "aaaa aaa he a big noobo rito plz i deserve chalenjour gg' but seriously? they almost all think that they know how to play and know what you should be doing even though they don't have they're decision making skills acquired yet. can we just have first time unranked players play with others of that skill level?

That's how it works now. Based on their "normal mmr", it places unraked players with others of their relative skill level. A brand new player will probably start playing with silver players, whereas a veteran smurf can easily start playing ranked with golds and plats.

You can't rank new people within an existing ladder by having them play outside of it. The results of games with 10 unranked players don't tell you anything about where they rank amongst ranked players. You have to see how they play against players with a rank to see where they belong.

You can't match unranked players with players of their skill level because you don't know their skill level, that is why they are unranked. It does suck but it is short lived. The 10 placement matches move you up and down the ladder at an accelerated rate to get you in the ballpark of where you belong as quick as possible.
