Asking to report someone is reportable?

Ok, so I am 99% sure that asking to report someone is reportable. However I want some proof. People are mostly NPC in nature and instead of arguing with a brick wall I rather just give them a link and confirm what I more or less already know.

If someone says: 9x Report (person)

or

Report (Position)

Or anything close to that is it filed under player harassment? Or what? Cause every time I mention it in game, I get 3-5 people not believing me.

So am I wrong or do I ignore this? Cause it happens every game. Whoever does the worst is accused of inting, or something else and people ask for report.

I'd like someone with a badge, a mod, someone official. I don't really need anyone who doesn't have some authority. Please and thanks!

Well, if you want official answers, the community boards are not the place to go.

That being said, such calls can be considered harassment depending on what else is present in the chat log. Saying it once will not be punished, but using it to harass other players will be.

Just remember 1 report has the same weight as 5. So you dont need to ask.

Yes and no.

Generally Riot doesn't punish for that alone, but if you're spamming it, using it to harass someone, or are already on really thin ice it can lead to a punishment, and it can be the tipping point for a punishment.
