Why are there so many trolls?

I write this because I'm on a losing streak because of trolls. At Silver 5 90 LP I get a troll that decides not to group, and dive 1vX whenever possible. The next game I get a troll that baits the team and is the last one alive, spamming the mastery emote then dying. Then the next game I get a troll that, as support, farmed in the jungle.

Why are there so many trolls? The bigger question is -- Why is nothing being done against trolling? These idiots can troll all they want. And they do so because there are few, if any, punishments for trolling.

There is punishment for true trolls. Report them so it gets recorded and helps get them their 14 day ban faster.

I report every troll I see. Doesn't matter which team. But I get no feedback when a troll has been banned. I've been playing this game for about 8 months now, and I've gotten two notifications along the lines of "A TOXIC player was punished." Nothing about trolls.

You only get feedback like that if your report that caused the match to be reviewed to cause a punishment is "The straw that broke the Camels back" so to say.

Those messages that someone you reported are part of the instant feedback system and many(most) trolling reports require manual reviews. So only things that have automated detection will trigger those popups.

Have you even looked even partially through the PB&M boards? It's full of jackasses who have gotten punished for being jackasses.

These things u listed are trolling only in your eyes. Bad decision making, overestimating yourself, bad map awareness, underestimating opponent- these things ,they are not trolling.

Rammus stood in top side enemy jungle for 5 minutes then walked through mid to the other side, sitting there for 5 minutes, back to top, rinse and repeat.

Braum and Jinx AFK'ed. Braum came back and decided to farm in the jungle.

Rammus is trolling, i can tell by his build Jinx and Braum arent.

Yes, because "he was farming the jungle" doesn't describe a troll.

I have no idea if they were trolling or not but trolling is only one possibility from what you have described so far. Braum could have, for example, had to AFK for w/e reason(not that AFKing is ok but shit happens) and then was farming the jungle to try and catch back up.
