The AFK and intentional feeding system isn't good enough.

Why should we not be able to remake when a teammate buys items then sits in fountain for the next 35 minutes?

Why should I lose LP when a teammate decides he's going to queue for ranked, then has to leave for dinner at the 5 minute mark?

Why should I be stuck with a teammate that runs it down mid for half an hour?

None of it makes sense. Why do I get punished because my teammates AFK and intentionally feed? The common excuse is the Law of Large Numbers. It states that if you repeat something enough times, everything balances out. It ignores the fact that AFKs and intentional feeds don't happen a number of times then balance out: they're in one out of two or one out of three games. I'm in S4 and there are more AFKs and intentional feeders than in Bronze.

Now get off your high horse. I know I'm not good at the game. I always look at what I should do better. HOWEVER I at least deserve a game in which no one AFKs or intentionally feeds.

The AFK and intentional feed systems need to be much more sensitive. Doesn't matter if someone's 15/2/2, if they run it down mid and die two more times it's intentional feeding. Doesn't matter if someone leaves or disconnects, they're still out of the game.

/end rant

Actually, the more frequent the event, the lower the amount of games you need to play until it will "balance out". Balancing out is, btw, a very unfortunate term. The law doesn't state that you are being actively pushed towards the expected distribution, but what really happens is that the relative difference from the expected distribution will become negligible over time.

Your skill, on the other hand, is a constant "force" of sorts, that pushes you towards the rank you deserve. While the law of big numbers doesn't really state that the distribution of feeders/afks will be fair after X games, it does basically say that the impact of this "unfairness" will be lower than the impact of your skill given enough games... and get even lower as you continue to play.

The thing is, feeder detection is tricky. And giving out too much compensation based on fairly tricky detection methods might accidentally give certain reactions to feeders an advantage (e.g. you should let them die as often as possible, rather than trying to win, so you're more likely to get compensation). Such flaws, once again, are essentially constant. Which means that just like your skill, those flaws in the system might end up having more of a (negative) impact, than the current system given enough games.
