is riot actively trying to improve catching trolls?

Is there really anything being done? I've had half my games today have people that refuse to play the game and purposely try to lose. Since for some reason you believe its bad to ask for reports in all chat but the players can obviously see they are trolling but refuse to report them after game. Saying it doesn't matter if they do. I'm just wondering is there actually anything being done to curb this behavior.

This is what a shitty punishment system that only really punishes flamers does and RIOT is solely to blame. It was only a matter of time but the geniuses at RIOT probably never even talked about this reality.

Nope, they aren't. I have a troll in most games. If you get angry with them or call them on it, you can expect a ban. But these toxic little children will continue to ruin games and make ppl angry. I recently had a vayne throw the game on purpose. They will still be ruining games with no punishment I'm sure.

I'm in silver so I have lots to work on, but it's hard when people just troll. Wins and losses seem to be based on who has the troll and who doesn't.

Edit - just got banned. After the sixth game in a row with troll that won't cooperate with their team, or purposely throw games, I cussed at someone. I guess I'm the real problem, not edgelord little kids who log in to ruin people's games.

We've had virtually no indication that they are, so its tough to say.

Nope . the flamers are the priority

They actually are.

Make sure you report them, because Riot is manually reviewing like over 90% of reports so they can improve their automated detection.

Nope. Just more skins, new champs and emotes.

No. They clearly aren't very concerned. I'd say the more upsetting thing is when they troll and say "this is my troll account" or something along the lines of them having a disposable account which really ticks me off. There has been little to no indication that this behavior is something being actively fixed. The Tribunal has been missing for 2 years with little to no explanation. We need more skins though.

I have been trying to brainstorm an idea and get it some traction because of the issues you have mentioned. Its a read but IMO worth it to try and perfect the idea.

Like I can totally accept that I'mma have trolls. Everyone does but it doesn't feel like they are decreasing and then the player base ourselves refuse to report them and That's my second issue. I'm thinking if it was more clear that it actually does something then maybe people would actually report those players

Nope riot doesn't do anything against trolls so I've started taking action myself counter trolling them. But then Riot is quick to give me a punishment. The system is backwards and Riot doesn't care, they just want their money.

Yeah they say they literally are actively improving and tweaking their detection systems. Trolling is just really hard to catch without spending millions on employees to go through all the footage to determine if the player is just bad or trolling.

YerroFever8/10/2017, 6:23:58 PM1 votes

They say they are and I would like to believe they are. People know that buying no items, 6 Dorans, or 6 Tears and nothing else the whole game will get you banned and so those old detection methods don't work. People then upped their efforts to troll by talking sarcastically so that instant feedback system didn't catch them and built normally. Now lots of people just don't talk and just play but troll when they play.

This silent trolling while building normally is actually really hard to detect. I'd love to hear suggestions on how to detect this faster because right now, they're just reviewing replays and all the trolls are doing is just playing bad on purpose.

My thought process on this is how do you create an AI that detects "reasonable players"?

EDIT: by that I mean how do you detect "was that a reasonable call to do that?" vs "clearly this person is trolling"

they are trying. its not that easy

No matter what they do , you will still face trolls. That will never change.
